In the UK's Sun newspaper yesterday, September 24, there was an interview with Cher. I can't post a link to their website because it seems to be subscription only but I'll quote her here. At one point she was discussing her exes, Sonny Bono and Tom Cruise and she had this to say:

"Everyone's curious about Tom and Scientology but he wasn't a Scientologist when we were together, he was just Tom. Sonny was into Scientology for a bit but not me. I've no interest in Scientology whatsoever. They're crazies."

I'm not an independent or any sort of Scn'ist, nor is Lulu.

We are, most of us (incl me) former Scientologists. By agreeing with people who say Scientologists, in toto, are (all) crazies, we are saying we were crazies. As i already explained, I'm not about to characterize myself as having been one, and I think most people here don't think they were psychotic or evil back when they were in it. Most culties are misled. Or even delusional. Both, more than likely.

Did you read Mick Wenlock's story of all he went through, with caring for children and all, when he was involved and he got expelled and his wife wad still in? You really want to call them crazies? They weren't. But they sure were lied to.

And so was I. So were all ex members and so are current members.

I am sometimes a lil shocked at the posts that dismiss culties as evil or crazy ppl or that say their kids should be taken away -that get lots of likes from people who used to be in people who had kids. Soul one say, oh, Mrs ex, cute kid! Shoulda been taken away from you back when you were in. Cuz you were all crazy and shit.
