When did COB state the following:

"All Dianetics and Scientology books were reviewed, gotten fully
    on-source and issued.

These books were put into a form that could be easily studied and
understood by anyone, with definitions of hard-to-find terms right in
the book, thus preventing individuals from going by misunderstoods.

This has been done with all of the over two dozen books on the

    Was it
    A. 2007?
    B. 1991?
    C. Both?

    Scroll down.

This exact quote was stated in 1991, however, if you answered A or C
    you would not be wrong.

Here is the context from 1991:

The Scope of Scientology Auditor's Day 1991 Announcement of a General

Religious Technology Center EXECUTIVE DIRECTIVE NO. 450 To: All
Scientologists From: Chairman of the Board, RTC (David Miscavige)

"The purpose of RTC is to see that Scientology is dept pure and
on-source and in this way to keep Scientology working.

Scientology works 100 percent of the time, when it is known and
applied without alter-is. There has never in our history been a
failure of the technology itself. The only failures have been staff
or organizational failures when the technology was not known or

It is therefore obvious that the future of Scientology depends on
having the technology--pure and unadulterated--and seeing that it is

Auditor's Day 1991 marks the completion of the Church's largest and
most extensive strategy aimed totally at keeping Scientology working.

After 24 January 1986, when LRH departed his body, we knew our
responsibilities as Scientologists increased tenfold. Our job was to
see that Scientology was kept pure and on-source. All discoveries and
developments of Dianetics and Scientology were made by one man--L Ron
Hubbard. There never will be a new source. Our responsibility in
this regard was to see that it was kept this way.

The need to keep Scientology pure, not just for the present but for
future generations to come, became much more real to many of us when
we saw an individual try, in late 1986--early 1987, to take over the
subject and set up a hidden data line and indeed appoint himself as
source. The hoped-for pattern was the same old one: take over the
subject for personal profit and power and to the detriment of all
Scientologists. Locating a few others with similar evil purposes and
motives, the threat was the denial of Scientology to any who would
    stand in the way.

You may ask, "How could this happen?" Scientology is an activity that
requires the active participation of the individual being processed or
trained. And the person has to be clean or indeed, he blocks any
chance of case gain for himself. We produce miracles. But they are
miracles for the majority, the good and decent. That we can do this
is a tribute to the truth and workability of the technology. But the
technology is not something that one can force on an individual to
"make him good." When an individual engages in enough contra-survival
activities, he prevents all possible case gain fro himself and is
unable to maintain his own personal ethics, and it becomes a matter
for justice. The technology of ethics exists only to make it possible
to tech to go in--and if ethics are out, tech will not go in.

The result was the same as it always has been. The attempted grab for
power was caught, stopped and the guilty parties thrown out, for the
same reason that this has always been the case--because real
Scientologists made sure it came out all right. In fact, the matter
was so well handled that most people never even heard of this
incident. And that is because the great, great, great majority of
people in a position to do something about this are decent and would
never have gone along with this push. Indeed, less that a handful
participated. The real pity was a few innocent bystanders got caught
up in this mess, but even there every one of them was picked up and
they are on the path up again.

But through all if this we learned a lesson. We saw someone try to
hide the tech and keep it to himself. And then pretend that his "new
tech" was the real tech! A typical hidden data line.

For this reason, in April of 1987 we embarked upon a strategy of
making all of the material of the Scientology Grade Chart standard and
available to all. This plan was to:

    I. Review all materials against original LRH manuscripts and handle
any omissions or alter-is that had crept in through the years either
by mistake or at the hand of some SP.

II. Review all original LRH manuscripts to find any unissued tech and
    make it available.

III. Review all LRH directions on the issuance of new rundowns and
procedures--those that he specifically directed be issued--and make
    them available.

IV. Put all of the materials in a form which was both easily
    available and easily studied.

    V. Make sure the materials were distributed as far and wide as

In this period, from 1987 to present time, the following has been

    1. All Dianetics and Scientology books were reviewed, gotten fully
on-source and issued. These books were put into a form that could be
easily studied and understood by anyone, with definitions of
hard-to-find terms right in the book, thus preventing individuals from
going by misunderstoods. This has been done with all of the over two
    dozen books on the subject.

Thanks Zinj, I tried to read it and got through two paragraphs at best. David Miscavige speeches only work in bright lights with crowds and speakers and background props. .

Reading them is an impossible chore. He is a robotic bore with nothing original to say. His whole beingness exudes ser fac on the public for not being on staff. He is totally condescending to the public from the stage. He's even taken to verbal quizes now where he asks a question, waits the public to answer, and says, "You're wrong!". I cannot finish reading this condescending patriotic self important low toned enforced mish mash for another sentence. Not when I have access to the National Geographic channel.

I still can't figure out how they can explain away re-re-republishing the materials. I don't get it.

How can they keep getting it wrong?

Even with the OEC Vols, right after they came out, an addendum pack came out with parts neglected or overlooked. We had stickers with correct text on them which had to be put into the OEC Vols to update them.

They keep changing things to the expense of parishoners.

No other business gets away with it like this cult does.

Why can't they get all of the materials right and stop changing them?

It KEEPS changing. Constantly. Its insane.

And one of the reasons I decided to get out.

It has arbitraries all over it. They can't see it because the group CANNOT look at itself and find its own faults. It always blames some poor Sea Org bloke who dedicated his life to a good cause and gets "caught out" by a buncha (or only one, at this point) wrong targetting fool (s).

It disgusts and embarrasses me that I used to be part of this group.

There is a misunderstood that clearing misunderstoods is the end-all solution.

    One needs to be well-read.

And one needs to be able to think for oneself.

I was downtown one day and there was this yellow there was somebody from CofS whom I knew. I think I posted about this before.

Anyway, he made eye contact, called me over, and we chatted. And he was all like "Hey! Did you know about the basic books release thingie whatsis?" And I said I'd rather read the stuff LRH actually wrote. And I pulled out a book from my handbag- an older edition of Handbook for Preclears. And he said that the church found all this stuff was left out and all and it really is the right version this time.

And I'm thinking " given LRH's propensity for reviewing and rereviewing and revising and rerevising his stuff, and given the fact that he was alive til well into the 1980s, doesn't this guy think LRH would have caught omissions?"

This is a total "tech degrade". And nobody catches on that it is.

    and WHY is that?

Because CofS is a cult and LRH was a cult leader and so's DM and they're mostly culties in there.

I don't know about that, fluff. Did you see my write-ups in this thread comparing the new 8-8008 with its predecessor? I'll quote myself from post #13:

"What I find very interesting seems to be exemplified by that quote about wavelengths/frequencies. The prior edition is much more clear than the revised edition, where Hubbard garbles the terms. No way would diehard SO members revise it like that unless it is genuinely true to the original dictation."

I should probably revise my conclusion to something like "This would seem to indicate that the later version is truer to the original dictation."

It's simple, say that the old ones are wrong & print a whole bunch of new ones. If you want to be completely on source you now have to throw away all your old ones & buy a whole bunch of new ones which means a whole bunch of new money for the Cof$

COB, Chairman of the Board, RTC, David Miscavige. Variously known as "the Dwarf", "Captain Psych-Slayer", "Tom's Poodle", etc., etc., one of "the Young Turks", a group of teenagers and early twenty somethings that completely took over the Church and terrorized Mission Holders while screaming in a degraded misinterpretation of Tone 40. There's only one left, I think, at this point, and that's COB.
