Kudos to Cathy! And her ex-husband for not giving up or giving in to scientology disconnection tactics.

Ex-Scientologists speak out on what Katie Holmes can expect from the church as she tries to divorce Tom Cruise. By Mark Ebner.

Which one of the 'Bad Examples' is Fiona's dad?

I watched Ralph Covert's music video and it was quite good. With a last name of Covert it is no wonder Scientology tried to get his wife to disconnect. That reminds me of a fellow who was a Scientologist whose last name was Case. LOL. He was told to change his name. Then there are peoples initials. Mine were DB. I knew an SP, a BT, and a girl whose initials were PTS.

I read Tony Ortega's blog today and I am so happy that Cathy Schenkelberg is out of the cult.

The Bad Examples were pretty popular in their time. They still get played on the radio here.

Yes, I'll fess up to thinking he was a "who" at one time. Good lord. I am so glad I am out and can be friends with him because he was never anything but nice to me while I was in. He was just smarter.

Cathy went through hell being run by the church to "handle" him. How about just let him be who he is and be nice to him? No, that's not how they roll.

I have lots more to say about how talented Cathy is but I don't know how much she would want me to speak and I would love for her to come to this thread and communicate. I think I'll invite her :)

Squeeze My Cans! Chicago, Nov 10th 2015

Ex Scientologist, solo performer and author of Squeeze My Cans! A Midwest Girls Journey into Scientology and Back Out Again - Cathy Schenkelberg's stand up comedy routine for the This Much Is True comedy monthly show opens on November 10th at Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro. 3905 N Lincoln, Chicago.

Cathy Schenkelberg made a recent move back to Chicago from Los Angeles to reconnect with her roots and present her solo piece -Squeeze My Cans! A Midwest Girl’s Journey Into Scientology And Back Out Again. Aside from her success in voice over, Cathy has spent the past two years performing. As Veronica in God of Carnage, Madame Thenardier in Les Mis and most recently Sue Ellen in Honky Tonk Angels. Cathy is very proud to say that she was Pepper the Clown on WGN’s Bozo Show. Now Cathy is picking up the pieces after leaving the cult of Scientology and happily free to express without fear, her story and experiences in the “church.” The church’s logo is “What’s true for you, is true for you.” Well, Cathy finally knows the truth and it ain’t pretty.

I'm informed that her performance beginning on 11/10 is not her full show, but instead a spoken word performance. Her full show begins in January. See:

Joining Scientology is worse than to marry a borderline girl: Unless David Miscavige is the girl with borderline.
