This is a "Holy Fucking Shit!" revelation.

David Mayo is THE HIGHEST TRAINED EVER TECH GUY, who was the closest to LRH, who was trained by LRH, who audited LRH is saying that LRH was ambivalent about the state of clear and David Mayo is saying that the state of clear isn't attainable.

The state of "Clear" is the underpinning of Dianetics and Scientology. It's the prime, number one Goal of every person who has stepped into a Church of Scientology. David Mayo is saying it didn't exist. Wow.

The revelation appeared in print in both IVy magazine and the Free Spirit magazine around 1990. (For those who may be wondering, as there's no date on the linked IVy material.) That's when I first read it. I even made photocopies of it and mailed it to people, pre-Internet. It seems to have brought some relief to quite a few people who had been entangled in Hubbard's manipulative hypno-certainty assertions about the mind. For me, it confirmed what I had suspected since I first witnessed the Dianetic Clear frenzy amongst Scientologists in the late 1970s.

You can't really say it Scientology was the cause of L Ron Hubbard's mental illness or the countless other Scientologists who have gone insane, but it is an indisputable fact that Scientology did not even remotely come close to curing Hubbard's mental illness. His mental rapidly declined while practicing Scientology. What needs to be quantified is how much did Scientology add to Hubbard's mental illness.

Still. It's a big deal that bears repeating over and over again.

I clearly recall David Mayo as the top tech dog in the late 70's and he's admitting that clear never existed.

I remember him in that movie "The Secret of Flag Results" and his line, "Standard tech is standard tech."

I wish he'd do a remake. "The Secret Behind the Secret of Flag Results".

I can think of a few lines to that movie, "Standard tech is whatever Ron thinks will work, even if it's a complete lie, based on an unattainable goal that we've never seen."

I think this is very good news. Now there is no reason to carry on about clearing the planet. Scientologists, you are free to go home now, the show's over. Think of all the unnecessary and irrelevant work that was avoided by this. It's a great day for scientology! No more billion years of slavery, no more saving the galax-ee! Now people can focus on something productive ... like collecting 'Clear the Planet' propaganda to sell on ebay at a later date.

Thanks for posting this video - I've seen it before, but I watched it again because this guy is just so damned interesting! He isn't really saying anything of real substance, he re-states the same concept over and over, but his style of presentation is just fascinating to me! I find myself staring transfixed at his face and not really caring what he's talking about - LOL!

But he was basically saying that people who leave Scientology are disillusioned and then decide that there was nothing there to begin with, the tech doesn't work, blah blah blah. I wonder how long after this video was made that he may have come round to the conclusion, "Hey they were right!" I had heard that, like Marty, he doesn't beat the drum for The Almighty Tech anymore.

'Restores Hope' - 'Clear-er' - this is the zoner pitch. Seen it.

There is no "clear", but rejoice the promise and hope restored. What a load. Is this what flies are caught with?

"clear" is just a mocked-up goal by hubbard (or a weenie) to obtain, and once that mocked-up goal was obtained

the next mocked-up goal by hubbard was "ot".

These, clear & ot, are just mocked-up goals to obtain in hubbard's dianetics & scientology game.

Those goals ( "weenie" ) are the same in every game. This is straight out out Dale Carneige, mocking up goals.

Only thing is hubbard created a group game. LOL

And he succeeded. He got people to try to go clear & ot, of which no state exists per his ever changing definitions. LOL

So hubbard dies, but yet mocked-up states of existence beyond OT8 per the chart "Bridge to Total Freedom", where are they, the auditing processes? LOL

You'd think he had it all mapped out.
