I was never declared an 's.p.'. I demand my rights! I demand to be declared! This is racism, sexism, everythingrongism!!! DECLARE ME!

Being declared is the equivalent these days of being branded a Freedom Fighter.

Actually, on the darker side, the most devastating comments to me was when 2 bullying staffer clams (on different occasions) called me a "fucking 'db'". This was because I couldn't hold a part-time job while working both 'day' AND 'foundation' hours. Never enough $$ for decent rent and basic food and clothes. Of course both were 'reges' and 'directors' and so, both were skimming the commissions.

I'm trying to hold it together just writing this.

What a fucking nightmare.

I hate that condescending crap. Telepathetic wrote about it once. Its meant to send you in a spin and it make me mad too.

Zorg you are hereby declared a fully-hatted SP! er, I mean I forthwith do Declare - oops!!

Well I might not be the best person to be issue authority when we have our own Golden Age of Tech Ethics Specialist on the board. Yoo Hoo, Alanzo can you help?

However you can come over to SP's Corner anytime.

I had a bad attitude when I was org staff. I was Foundation and I had a regular 40-hour/week job during the day which I paid my bills with. I knew the LRH policy on Foundation, where he mandated that Fdn staff leave promptly at the end of Fdn hours because they had day jobs (something DM has likely deleted from the current OEC volume 0). At the end of the day, I left, period. What didn't get done when it was time for me to leave, didn't get done.

I was eventually offloaded, so I would not be a bad influence on the rest.:whistling:

Even if you don't have majority of the characteristics of the antisocial personality, you should all be declared for being on this suppressive forum.

Consider this your first warning. If you continue to post here you will be declared!!! :grouch:

I knew a guy in the early 1980's who finished his org contract, and was told he would have to recruit his own replacement before he could leave. After a few months of working his post past contract expiration, he finally said screw it and stopped showing up. He was declared.
I remember the verbal policy about "having to replace yourself". However, I'd read most of the OEC vols on my own and I knew full well that there was no such policy but instead there was ample policy about "fast flow hiring" and "allocation boards" and for HCO to be hiring enough people to handle any hole in the org board.

I knew it was never a staff member's own job to replace himself/herself.

I could never believe it when someone fell for that crap... er... trap.

I am so glad you got some money back. From what I've seen and heard, its really not that easy. So good for you for sticking with it. It probably took alot of time and energy.
Yes, it took about half a year and was very, very stressful.

I put my e-meter up for sale on e-bay and my broker told me she was contacted and told she had to take it down. By that time she already had several bids. So she took the item off auction, but did sell it to the highest bidder. I found it interesting how easy it was to sell. Same guy later bought all my Tech Vols.
There was a time all eBay emeter ads were taken down. I helped broker a few deals for other people, too. There was indeed a market for emeters. A little after Anonymous came on the scene (Jan 2008), I'd say about 1 to 2 months later, I started noticing that the eBay emeters were NOT disappearing. I guess OSA was busy with other more pressing matters.

I watched the price of emeters go down, down, down on eBay over the next year or two (before I quit checking). Last I saw, quantum emeters were selling around $600 or $700, if that.

Until 3 or so years ago Scientology had a cozy deal with Ebay where they were allowed to claim 'copyright' or 'theft' or 'counterfeit' on anything they chose, without further examination of the claim. I forget the name of the specific agreement right offhand, but, Scientology would regularly claim 'copyright' on e-meters and Ebay would remove the listings, no questions asked.

Once the agreement came to light numerous people wrote to Ebay exposing the fraudulent claims; enough so that Ebay apparently saw their cozy agreement as more inconvenient and potentially embarassing than complaints by Scientology and they canceled it.

Since then E-meters have been regularly sold on Ebay.

Hmm.. I'm almost certain that there was such a 'policy' in the Guardian's Office. Might have been a Guardian Order though..

Good thing! I remember at the time, I heard it alleged that the Catholic church had tried the same thing re the selling of, I think it was- relics on EBay and that EBay wouldn't accord them the same arrangement as it had with CofS. Seemed quite inequitable to me.
