Yes, and I was going to add...what is the material in the gown?? Rayon? Or a cotton/rayon blend? :confused2: (take a look at the label)
You should never have anything altered until you have rinsed it or laundered it first...there is usually a chemical "sizing" in the material, and the fabric won't drape right until you wash it out...even to rinse it a few times in clean cool water.
Also...rayon "blooms" or "breathes" in water and the weave gets looser or tighter when gently washed a few times...and usually the garment will be more comfortable and also will hang on your frame better, after rinsing or washing.
You can tell a big difference in the feel and look of the way the fabric hangs and drapes on you, before and after you get the "sizing" out of it.
