Escaped out of Scientology in 2000

Interesting points of view.

First off, I don't see it re most people here are preparing to live their lives.
Most people I know who are out of Scientology ARE living their lives, quite well.
(When "in"--yes, there was a constant: Once you do this___Then you can really live, it was a constant preparation).

I know for me, once I left, I made a "Policy"--no matter what someone invites
me too, I'm going! (Due to SO many restrictions while on OT 7)

The first really funny thing I was invited to, that normally I'd never bother with, was going to see a critic's "Drag Queen Traffic School Teachers live performance". It was *A* RIOT! :roflmao:

We had a ball--and it began a life I love of just DOING Things, all over the map.

I'm glad to hear you're living life so well, Colleen. Isn't it fun, too? I find life
amazingly interesting, all by itself! :happydance:

Zinji---I don't agree, re Scientology. I do agree, without KSW there would be far less abuse done by Scios "in". However, I do think there is some "tech"
that is good, having nothing to do with KSW...but not enough to join
the organization known as the church of Scientology, this is for sure!

Best to all,

Tory/Magoo~~~:coolwink:

Magoo, what are you loving most about life these days?

For me, it is getting back my creative abilities, which took one session, that's all. And it was not Scientology. Scientology has been surpassed, imho.

Thanks for being here, Magoo.

Hey Colleen, thank you!

What have I enjoyed the most? Number one for me is having my Freedoms back...real freedoms, not the bs freedom Scientology sold, and took away, constantly.

Having been on OT 7 for 7 years, I was EXTREMELY restricted on what I could do, read, speak to, etc. :blah: :spacecraft: :shark:

and then to:

:welcome: :bravo: :typing: :thewave:  :welcome2: :runaround: :congratulations:

Has just been terrific! :happydance: Also, I agree, my creativity has taken off,
and that's been very fun, too.

As I've said: My biggest case gain EVER was not "in" Scientology, but when I left. I finally found *me* and all the courage my Father had given to me (and Mom,too) and learning to stand my ground, despite what felt like hundreds of people (at first), was HUGE for me.

Just being free to do what I want, when I want to, how I want, are all
things that I give thanks for, every day.

Thanks for asking :) :heartflower:

Just to comment on the thread a tiny tiny bit.......it is so wonderful to hear it again, with some new voices raised......

It is good to be out. Living life.....and we are.....

It is good to be able to have a place, where others understand our experience...our common concerns...and with a depth of understanding that most could never have.

It is good to be able to listen to the tales of others....so that our own may make more sense.

It is good to be able to chuckle or laugh out loud about a very "serious" issue.

It is a community like no other.

Sooooooooo true, duddins.

I guess you were here for a long time, and then left for awhile?

Well, I'm glad you're back!

Welcome home :welcome2: :gathering:

I started posting in Early October....and disappeared just before Christmas. Too much going on......
Missed it too much to stay away.
This is a great place to be.

I poured out much of my story on my earlier threads. I still have some up my sleave.
I am ex-SO. In from 1974 to 1985. I hovered around ESMB prior to posting, because I was afraid to come out into the open. I recieved a death threat in 85. After some quiet conversations with Alanzo, I decided to start posting out on the board. I am so happy I did! Much of the charge has washed away and I hope to help others with my story.
So great to read your posts Tory.

Duddins,

Great job on speaking out! I'm sure you've helped far more people than you can possibly know. I have my videos up (and phone number)---so I hear from people all the time, and frankly, it's amazing how much each person posting helps others. :hifive:

Sooooooo you've got some up your sleeve, eh? Well, no time like today :)

Glad you've enjoyed my posts, too. I'm happy to be here, too.

My best :happydance:
