Paul,

Paul Adams (“Dulloldfart”) was the practical course supervisor when I studied at ITO. I had to demonstrate to him how to correctly use a damp rag to clean the dust from a table. He also supervised me on the STCC. At some point he became disaffected with Scientology and appears to now be a regular on ESMB.

Paul Foster (“scatjappers”) is a regular on the Milestone Two blog. I know nothing more about him. He said he did the OEC at ITO.

I only visited ESMB recently because of Lana’s comment. I never registered with their forum because I’m not an ex-Scientologist plus they have a strict moderation policy against people who disagree with them. (The only thing worse than arguing in public about Scientology is not being permitted to respond or having that response edited by someone else.)

ARC,

Re: ESMB has established communication with another bunch of weirdos

I cannot fathom why anyone in their right minds would give a shit what some flavor of Hubbard has to say about anything, and apparently I'm on the road to destruction... *sadcauseIthoughtthehighwaytohellwascoolnotsomuchbobdylan*
As far as I have seen, the indies has their various hangouts, let the fruit of their trees fall in their own yards imho. :cheerleader:

lol. Nearly spat coffee all over the computer when I read that. Messy messy!

Yeah stop strictly moderating us you nasty ESMB moderators. We like to play dirty and disagree and throw sand around, but you won't let us. You're just mean to us. Waaa waaa! (stamps little feet, then proceeds to full-blown tantrum)

Oh pleeze! Where's the common sense, and awareness, with these folk from that funny Millstone Too site. It's a comedy site right? Satire?

Moderate me moderators. Strictly. :p

I told you I was trouble

I alternate between feeling desperately sorry for them and wanting to line them all up against a wall so I can and squirt and soak them with a freezing cold, high velocity hose pipe for an hour or two.

The hose pipe usually wins.

Just thought I'd mention it.

You are going to be strictly moderated for mentioning sacred "hose pipe tek". I am reporting this post! Waaa waaa. :coolwink:

Edit: adding something...

How long have you been harbouring this "wanting to line them all up against a wall so I can and squirt and soak them with a freezing cold, high velocity hose pipe for an hour or two" thing?

Now I'm worried. :p

Lana, there is so much beautiful wisdom in the world, which doesn't involve talk of 'dynamics' or come from a man whose reaction to his son's death was only to castigate the son for the inconvenience to the father

our children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

Kahlil Gibran On Children

Beautiful! :biglove: Thanks for that.

How I wish I would have had some of these beautiful poems and wise words handy when my son was young and I was freshly out of the SO, rather than coping with draining my brain of all the stupid, heartless, dehumanizing 'exchange' concepts of scientology and other, completely useless and often destructive scientology misdirection about parenthood that Lana continues to spout. How wonderful that despite the scientology in his early years, my son turned out to be a wonderful, compassionate, talented, bright, successful young man. :yes:

One of my favorite poems written to a son by his father, Rudyard Kipling:

IF --
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream---and not make dreams your master;
If you can think---and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings---nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And---which is more---you'll be a Man, my son!

Jonathon has to tell himself that - it allows him to justify not posting here to defend the tech and demonstrate how wrong we are (he's not allowed! lol), it reassures other MS2 members and it justifies MS2's ACTUAL moderation policy which does forbid any disagreement with the tech. The amount of lies these people tell themselves and delusions they chose to live with in order to old on to the con job LRH's sold them is freaking amazing to behold. Hubbard would truly look down and smile at how perfectly his trapped has worked on these suckers.

(Also I believe Johnathon added that last tidbit? Maybe after checking this thread again because I remember reading that comment about Paul (it was published well before Paul's actual comment there and there was nothing about ESMB moderation or anything like that to my recollection - and that's something I would have immediately noticed.)

So true.
The truth behind the shore-story:
ESMB allows questioning and rebuttal of irrational ravings of avaricious madmen.

Lol! Congrats on your chooks, Scooter! Pics?

I'm about to rent a goat for a week to eat the poison ivy and clean up the back section that was left wild for eight years. Apparently they love the stuff.

:biggrin: (also more interesting, heh)

You guys lives seem so exciting with new critters. I get to sit here with a sick kitteh and two punk-rock juvenile rats for the weekend, try and imagine my joy (no, do not bother, I did the proper dad thing while the dwarflette is away, got hammered :D )

*sigh* <<< (ran out of munchies, time ta gets creative)

The neighbours cat was sitting on my garden shed late this afternoon as I got my washing off the clothes-line. He watched me carefully, though seemed very relaxed about life.

Here's to the simple life! :)

Bought some new cloths pins about a month ago.....I like them very much. Wonderful to have a cloths line and let the sun hit the wash....

My cat also watches me, as I do chores in the yard...:)

Oh that would be terrific! I'd love to see them.

Instructions for putting pics in: First you need to have pics in your computer and know where they are. So either download directly from your phone OR you can email them to yourself from your phone (the down arrow icon if you have iPhone) and then download to your computer when you access your email.

You do the reply to post as usual, then when you are ready to post a pic, hit the square icon (the 13th icon from the left, not the 14th, that's videos) and instead of 'URL' hit 'from computer.' Then hit the 'Basic Uploader' icon at the bottom right.

That allows you to choose the picture you want to upload from your computer. Select the picture and voila! You'll see it in your post. :)
