Great stuff!
Looks like the committee has quite the day ahead of them:
First off there's the cult buster, Dr Stephen Mutch. Then the super cult busters from ESMB. Then even MORE cult busting from Cult Information and Family Support (CIFS).
After that the NZ Charity commission, should also be a good one.
Next after that is lawyer Andrew Lind from submission no. 2, unfortunately he will be arguing against the amendment, though he may encourage the committee to deal with Scientology in other ways.
After lunch and Ruh Roh! Church of Scientology and their shilling lawyer!
Oh to be a fly on the wall for that one...
Aaand later in the day, the Atheist foundation and the UK charities commission!
I wish we could listen in on these meetings, the committee will surely be having an interesting and full day on Monday (and then on Tuesday as well).
To the ESMB'ers going: make sure to study hard for this, read all the submissions online and analysis all the arguments. In particular shoot down all of Scientology's weak arguments before they have their hearing!
Don't forget to bring loads of dox with you to back up any argument.
Oh and if possible, stick around till 2pm and say hi to Cyrus Brooks. Bonus points if scooter wears his V mask + ministerial gear for this
