Admiration, appreciation and acknowledgments are due

Here is the result of persistence on a given course of action. Persistence coupled with diligence and energy usually pay off, in my experience and observation.

Crys of "don't ruffle feathers", you're "ser-facing", "out of control", and such skepticism heard earlier, now seem to be replaced with kudos and fanfare.

Such is the way of the word and its peoples.

Carmel and friends, I love you all unreservedly!

This is fantastic!! I see the NZ Charities Commission is going to speak as well! Since the NZ 'Charity' of the Cofs hasn't filed any accounts for the last three years it will be VERY interesting to see what happens.

This is absolutely fantastic.

Bloody good show all of you.
:happydance:

I hope the NZ authorities know about the "no filing" violations!!

Agreed EP,

To think only a week ago submissions were being declined due to relavance (which I thought was BS).

But this week the senate wants to talk to some of us and no doubt want to listen.

Just shows that the "never say die" and "My balls (or ovarys) are made of brass or steel" attitude of some of us ESMBers (you know who you are)
is the reason why we are at this point, this is the reason I love this place,
it is friendly and helpful but totally Kicks CofS ringhole.

That "Men at Work" track is the unofficial Ozzie national athem, and far more uplifting than the official one, IMO.

It was the track played across the water by the Oz America Cup challenge when they finally wrestled the cup from the Yanks, an action that finally formed Australia into one nation, rather than a collection of city suburbs supporting their own local football team.

Thanks for the link.

You (Oz only?) will be able to watch streaming video of the two days events through the parliament website.
Don't have the link, but saw it listed on WWP.

Look out. Vicki Dunstan might be out in front of Parliament protesting. Here's what her sign would read:
The late Bryan Wilson, Ph.D. of Oxford University, one of the most renowned sociologists of modern times, put it this way: "The disaffected and the apostate are in particular informants whose evidence has to be used with circumspection. The apostate is generally in need of self-justification. He seeks to reconstruct his own past, to excuse his former affiliations, and to blame those who were formerly his closest associates. . . . Apostates, sensationalized by the press, have sometimes sought to make a profit from accounts of their experiences in stories sold to newspapers...." "As various instances have indicated, he is likely to be suggestible and ready to enlarge or embellish his grievances to satisfy that species of journalist whose interest is more in sensational copy than in an objective statement of the truth."

I mean, if Bryan Wilson, Ph.D., of Oxford no less, says we exes are not to be trusted, then that's it! How can the Australian Senate go up against Bryan Wilson?

I noticed there is a phone call with UK Charities in the afternoon. Hhhhmmmm...I wonder if they will be discussing our favorite South Australian charity. :D
