The only executive "strata" that I had any respect for was the old school guys and gals from the 50's and 60's where one got ahead due to proving their competence as an auditor/CS, like in the days of Rocky Stump. classic name by the way.
The weasels at the top now are people who took control in back room mutinee's, cons and slap downs.
The new public also was from a much more WOG class of mud dweller who got in not because they were expanding their horizons from other occult, meditation and self-help backgrounds but rather because they allowed themselves to be other determined and body routed in and never seemed to be entirely sure why they were there, they only knew that they were lead there and so there they were...
It sucked to have to interact with many of them, seemed like a bunch of db's to me, and many proved they were exactly that.
Out of this pool came the group at the top now including DM who seems to have stepped right out of an episode of "The Bowery Boys" as Satch's junior high dropout cousin "Itch".

There is an ASK OFF PL but the upshot of it is that the person must have some interest in the subject otherwise they would just quietly ignore the advertising. The policy is then to send EVEN MORE promo. A much better choice would be the DEAD FILE PL where you send them a nasty, critical letter and they "punish" you by "taking away your eternity".

I don't want to derail this thread but I feel compelled to respond on the above
DagwoodGum, I chuckled at your comment because anyone who was ever in Scientology would know that they keep records and do their best to try and track you down, no matter what org you went to.

There are too many stories on the internet mentioning this and asking how to get off the mailing list, even after having bought a copy of DMSMH. They send mail to places one once lived and will continue to do so even if asked off.

They also keep your ethics and PC folders, which I presume you had. So they know you, even if they have not reached you because of moves and such over the last 30 years.

All names and last known addresses are kept, going back more than 30 years, and updated by use of cheap $10 search companies. The chances of you not being listed is slim to none if you did services and bought materials. I had to threaten having my attorney contact them if they failed to take me off the main central files list ( resulting in my getting mail from over 8 different church orgs and entities ).
But just because you don't hear from them does not mean they don't have your name on record. As far as refunds, do search as was suggested but they stopped giving them a few years ago because too many requests came in. Search, find and read up on the Garcia v Church of Scientology lawsuit and you will see the problem and how the church has evolved in avoiding any responsibility for anything by use of the corporate religious veil.

There's no "derailing" here, that's a judgement call at best anyway that's better left to the mods..
Yes, I know they have kept any and all records, I guess I should have been more clear.
Whether they would admit that I ever spent any money on services is the part that I doubt.
I don't know the HCOPL, but my former Div 6 friend Keith Fryxell of TC Org, now deceased, told me that it basically stated "Never allow a public to ask off unless accompanied by threat of lawsuit and/or threats to embarrass Scientology in the press. To do so would be to put their eternity in jeopardy".
This is pretty close to what I barely recollect reading as well.
I found it extremely eerie to still be pursued some 30 + years after quitting them only to have them continue to harass people in my name.
Let me just say it doesn't make one too popular among people having to hear from these deluded maggots showing off that they're nothing other than sociopathic/psychopathic, classic text book stalkers.
Someday they'll push someone just a hair too far and there'll be another grisly story to read on the front page of every newspaper on the planet.
It won't be me but rather some poor soul who's life has been so thoroughly ruined by them that they are below having reason to fear any consequences, someone like an abused RPF'd Sea Org member who knows just where to take his last stand with guns in hand, and knowing full well who ruined his or her life...

This WE I was watching a documentary about abuses and people being locked inside room for days, weeks, months.
That made me think of my EXIT from the PAC BASE. This is my story but many did get through the same Exit.

1. When I was seen in Ethics, by my Ethics Office, the PAC Security, I was told that I was going to sleep in a room alone. This meant, I was being put on WATCH ! Someone from HCO was outside all night long to make sure I was not going to run away.
2. I was in that room for about 1 month. I could go out on the stairs few minutes a day.
3. I was then put into an auditing room (One near the Security Guard office). I was not allowed to go out. I was staying in there from 9 am til 10 pm. This went on for 2 months. My food was brought in there, I was told to write my Overts and Withholds. Every time I tought I was done, I was told to write some more... It went on to a point where I was kind of "making up overts and withhold". I had write over 1000 of them.
4. After those 2 months, I was put inside a room in the basement with some others who were going out. I did not know they were so many. About 20 people. We were made to read books, listening to lectures, write more OW...
5. I moved from that room to a doorm with the guys getting out. There was also a doorm for women. We were all in there at night, speaking, reading, nattering...
6. One guys had been there for 1 year and was still not out.
7. I waited 3 more months to start my Sec Check. Proccess to get out of there.
8. After 10 sessions, I thought I was done... I was again being SecCheck... it went on and It was going nowhere. bugging...
9. I Waited another 3 months for my Comm-Ev... which one lasted 1 more month.
10. We were not allowed to go outside, but stay in that room all day long. The only place we could go was on the stairwell to get some space above LA.
11. My auditing went wrong and was assigned a new auditor. It took again weeks...

In the meantime some people were going, happy to finally be OUT ! Those guys had been there 8, 9, 10 months or 1 year 1/2...

When I left, I had been there for 10 months... Looking at it now, I was soooo brainwashed that I agreed with it. Now, I would have ran out... and tell them to get F---.

kind of funny I did it their way since I knew the policy's.

I had actually blown from staff a few times, and recovered myself both times. Reason why I recovered myself was because I figured I was declared SP since I blew from staff. Turns out I was never declared each time and each time I thought I could do the A-E steps if I was declared, that's what policy says. One may wonder why I recovered myself? The reason being my mind was filled with Hubbard's ideal scene (imagined scene that he foisted upon us) of a "cleared planet" and reaching "OT" and Hubbard saying always leave a crack open. So I figured I wasn't cut out for staff and saving the planet, but still wanted to achieve clear and then OT, and eventually I would make the grade.

Anyways, the third time I decided to leave standardly by doing the routing form. Per policy one is supposed to be doing mest work awaiting sec checks. Instead of mest work, the EO asked me to write letters to CF. I said sure and did for weeks on end awaiting the sec checks. One day the EO asked me to hand out fliers on the street. I said NO! I hate doing that and I'd rather do mest work per policy and that includes cleaning the toilets. The EO stormed out of the room. LOL when I look back at it all.

Soon afterwards I got my leaving staff sec checks and left staff with a hefty freeloader bill of $30K, which I partially paid off over a few years. And guess what, I went back on staff to finish off my contract so I could handle my freeloader debt of $20K still left to pay. I figured at the time it was the greatest good since I had gotten married and figured I can make it go right for 1 1/2 years cuz the org promised I could just work these set hours wjile having a real job. Oh boy, that's another story, LOL.

I actually did fulfill the contract and made it go right and left staff after my contract time period ended, and continued then on as a paying public.

I was lucky and live in a small town. Was at the post office and mentioned to the post master I did not want any mail from "these people". No problem she filled out a form and it stopped from all locations. She said the post office was familiar with "them" and she would handle it. I got a few things but turned over to her and now no more mail.

The phone calls I stopped long ago.

Game over and I think I won!
