Let's just get this perspective.
94 countries from Russia to Ecuador screened the Dr Who special today, marking 50 years since it first hit the TV screens.
I don't remember how many million watched this science fiction across the planet, but I would say many more than watched the scn science fiction filmed event starring Little Dave.

Also more than watched Battlefield Earth since it was released. That movie got my absolute favorite review ever: "A cross between Star Wars and the smell of ass". :melodramatic:

.... and it hasn't even hit my time zone yet!

I saw Mannheim Steamroller last night here in concert. Some of it was great, and some of it was meh-- but, there was a bit of me realizing that it (the concert) was kind of put together like the Scio events tried to put it together. Yet, they keep getting fans, and most folks were just extremely happy at the show and felt a lot of emotion, and wouldn't get regged. And, this band/outfit, whatever, that has been around for ages is going to have more folks watch their annual Christmas tour live (and more on video) than Scio will have watch this groundbreaking event.

Hell, want to go to an enthusiastic event? Hit a Portland Timbers game! Crazed chanting and singing soccer fans beat glazed Scios EVERY time!
