If "voting" is not the biggest scam ever, I'm the Pope.
How do you explain the FACT that the US House of Representatives changed hands in a BIG WAY in 2010? Did voting not have SOMETHING to do with that??
A Pig???
George Lopez may or may not be a fan of Kirstie Alley's dancing, but he's made clear his feelings on her body.
On "Lopez Tonight" Tuesday night, Lopez reviewed the first episode of the new season of "Dancing with the Stars." Alley, who has famously struggled with her weight, danced a roundly praised cha-cha performance to Cee Lo Green's "Forget You." Without commenting on her technique, Lopez criticized her physique.
"She did a nice job, her little hooves tapping away," Lopez said, comparing Alley to a pig. "Before the show she went to the market, then she had roast beef, and this is her going all the way home," he continued before cutting to a video of a pig squealing, from a recent Geico commercial.
I have always loved Kirstie Alley as an actress, but this story is just not nice. Kirstie has battled her weight for years but she is a gorgeous woman, even at age 60. Yes, she's overweight right now but you have to give her major kudos for getting out there on Dancing with the Stars. She has a hot partner in Max, and will probably slim down nicely while doing the show. George Lopez is no prize himself!!
Ulf, there is an old Southern saying :
' If their mouth is moving one way and their ass is moving another way. you best be watching which way that ass moves ! "
If it floats your boat to believe that, please be my guest.
Please note that the Executive branch just rode roughshod over the House and the Senate in engaging (again) in its own little war. That's right, when bombs are being dropped over inhabited areas, this is called WAR. So much for the "will of the People".
I'm not particularly interested in explaining this supposed change. If events aren't enough, nothing I'd write would make any difference. Is it possible, seeing what the US has come to, that any American has faith in politicians? It couldn't be, could it?
I don't listen to what people say; but, I do watch what they do. Show how this "Democratic" administration is any different from the last "Republican" one. Did your government really "change hands"? Or is it just more of the same? Under which of the two administrations have you been better off?
We have many elections coming up. What floats my boat is my faith in our history, and each election forward will make changes for the better. With your attitude, indeed America is a lost cause destined to crumble. But I, unlike you, have an eternal optimism that our system has the tools to correct itself.
For your information, George W Bush was indeed naive about mideast politics, but he kept our nation free of terrorist attacks his entire tenure. That idiot at Ft Hood happened under Obama's watch and that administration refused to acknowledge that it was the first terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11.
I again refuse to concede your point that the Bush admin was bad. It was only bad because it was Republican, and the media hammered it for 8 straight years never admitting all the good they did. If you have any courage, read "Decision Points," by
George W Bush. It is a very surprising read, refuting just about all the attacks on it. That man withstood more attacks both foreign and domestic than just about any other chief executive in our history. He was a very thoughtful, serious holder of that office. IF you have any interest in the TRUTH read that book. Bush did not counter all the crap thrown at him, he just plugged away at solving vexing problems. In gratitude he was handed shit on a steaming platter by Congress.
For your information, GW Bush tried for FIVE years to get Congress to act on the financial distaster which brought us down. By the end of his administration he had no choice but to put forward TARP (WHICH, by the way, has been paid back by the banks who recieved the largess.)
He tried to reform Social Security, only to be slapped down by a bunch of jackasses in congress. I have no love of Congress bud, in fact if I were king I would fire every one of their asses. But we have but one way to fix things, and that is the ballot box.
Jachs99,
The original movie that Running Man was based on is SOO much better. It's called Rollerball. Rent it sometime - fantastic movie!
Pro-Bush?
I can't argue with such "logic".
I thank God, every day, that I don't live in the US.
Enjoy the collapse and fall. There'll be lotsa in the meantime...
I gather Kirstie is a good person. I wish she was not a scienoweenie, but I can not do anything about that. For those who are not afflicted by being overweight, it is not a simple mind over "matter" thing. Many times it is a very complex problem that has a multitude of causes. It is indeed a very sad thing for those afflicted; they want happiness like everyone else.
If anyone learns anything in this life, it should be to have some compassion. If you beautiful people suddenly had a shift in metabolism or a disease thrust upon you to cause obesity, perhaps you would then learn.
I have one more comment: Ulf I thank GOD every fucking day you are not a US citizen! You sound like a socialist European who has lived under the umbrella of US power and not lifted a finger in thanks. WE, unlike you, have patriots who are determined to set our country right. Pro-Bush? You may bet every Euro you have on that.
I love the way you prove my point. Thank you.
