I was at a gawd damn IAS regging event just about a year and a half ago where the speaker, reg, was the don rickles look a like, I got up in the middle of event and walked out, he looked at me as I got up and I could see fear in his eyes, and when I walked out the door some young punk SO guy asked where am I going, I says home, he says why, i says I gotta get some sleep, he says but but as I leave, whats your name, blah blah as I walk out the door.

The don rickles guy started his talk with how we might have to urge to leave, and blah blah blah, joking the whole way to get the audience to laugh and make us feel like we are having a good time, entertained. son of a bitch asshole.

I was on course all day and tired and didn't need to be regged for the same shit, with having to be back the next day early to be on course.

And then lo and behold I get the debbie cook email on excessive regging 6 months later.

The endless reg sessions, "mandatory briefings"(= more reg sessions), and all the rest greatly contributed to my disenchantment. When your attitude shifts to "yeah, yeah, fuck you", you know you're on the way out.

True, but not quite true. It wasn't till got I got the debbie cook email message that I went to myself, I knew it something was wrong. And I knew of her status so that impinged on me. So I looked further and got more confirmation for listening to the truth rundown series where Hy Levy spoke, and others such as Sindy, Luis garcia. The whole flood of outpoints came crashing down on me, and I had to look even further. And sure enough debbie cook gets declared and that connects dots like how could somebody be such an upstat and all of the sudden get declared when she just told what it says is in the policy letters written by LRH.

And then I found out there was a freezone and also a present time indie movement all based on highly trained people leaving. So to tell you the truth since I looked that far on the internet, I had to see what the SP's on ESMB where saying, in my mind at the time. And then I lurked here for a bit and pieced together who were the players here, and figured out they were indeed ex members with a lot of experience, and if fact I found the members here to be original old timers,

and that gave me a lot of freedom to finally really look more.

And here I am.

Do you have more interesting tidbits? I like that one as well as what you wrote.

Here is a thought. I was born into Scientology in 64 in Australia. I was raised in it with the understanding that it was the only way to build a better life, world, create success, wealth, OT powers, etc. I believed it blindly.

I never thought to measure it. In the US, 5% of households have a net worth of a million dollars or more. 1 in 20. Most of these create wealth from either real estate or small business. What are the corresponding percentages in the Scientology world? How many Scientology do you know? How many of them are millionaires? How many of them have their own business? How many own their own home? Have no debt?

If there is value in Scientology, where is it? Can you show in real world results, measurable results, sustainable results that the admin tech works? Auditing can make you feel good, but is there a physical and monetary benefit as promised? You beef up a sales person with super aggressive traits and you get a temporary rise in income, but is it sustainable? Does his sales technique result in damage to reputation and good will and customer base?

If there is a value in Scientology, my experience is it doesn't translate to physical world success on a general reproducible scale. There are success stories from everything, but what are the hard statistical numbers? Don't look at a month or year income, look at 5-10 years, or a lifetime. The cost/benefit ratio for 3 generations of my family was quite negative when honestly viewed by all three generations.
