Dear Scientologist:

CCHR OC recently received a grant from Google in the amount of $10,000 per month worth of Pay Per Click Advertising to be used in our Orange County anti-psych campaigns. This Grant will go a long way in helping Orange County residents stay out of the hands of the psychs. However, now that we have the Grant, we need to hire an experienced professional to get the most out of these ads for CCHR OC. This means constant testing and tweaking the ads as well as making changes to the landing pages, keyword search and optimal usage of keywords, tracking results, etc. This is beyond the scope of our CCHR OC volunteer staff skill set. I have shopped around and have found several professionals that would do this work expertly and are results driven and very experienced. This will cost us $1,200.00 per month or $279.00 per week or $40.00 per day to pay this professional company to help us defeat psychiatry in Orange County.

In order to fund this we have established the following membership levels:

OC Human Rights Member – $25.00 per month
OC Human Rights Activist – $50.00 per month
OC Human Rights Reformer – $100.00 per month
OC Human Rights Protector – $200.00 per month
OC Human Rights Patriot – $300.00 per month
OC Human Rights Defender – $400.00 per month
OC Human Rights Champion – $500.00 per month
OC Human Rights Champion With Honors – $600.00 per month
OC Supreme Champion of Human Rights – $700.00 per month
OC Supreme Champion of Human Rights With Honors – $800.00 per month
OC Human Rights Hero – $900.00 per month
OC Human Rights Hero With Honors – $1,000.00 per month
OC Supreme Hero of Human Rights – $1,100.00 per month
OC Supreme Hero of Human Rights With Honors – $1,200.00 per month

Can I count on you to pledge a monthly amount and/or help me get enough necessary pledges? – all or any portion of this monthly target of $1,200.00 would be very much appreciated.

“…the psychs … have been on the track a long time and are the sole cause of decline in this universe…” LRH – HCOB 26 Aug, 1982 Pain and Sex

This $10,000 per month pay per click campaign will go a long way to defeating the work of the psychs in Orange County and make our community safer and saner to live in.

Thank you for your contribution. It is tax deductible and we accept all major credit cards. Call me today with your monthly pledge.

Best,

...

This will not end well for Scientology.

Google is going to be humiliated with the web & media chatter about ANY support of CCHR to "defeat psychs". It matters not that they don't weigh in on the philosophical merit of any "credits" they provide to corporate clients for their volume of business. In other words, all clients get the same incentives. At least that'll be their initial position.

The quotes by Hubbard about trillion-year psych conspiracies to enslave the human race will come to light and the be the object of scorn, ridicule and LULZ.

Google will probably release some generic press statement about how every client is afforded the same rights/incentives to receive "credits" without the company taking any specific position of support or otherwise. Nonetheless, Google will come under fire as the zeitgeist of Google helping to rid the planet of professional mental health practictioners will hold them up to public relations ridicule.

It is a challenging situation for Google to try to walk the middle ground and remain neutral to what their clients are promoting via Googles marketing engine.

The paradox for Scientology is simply this: The more they promote, the more people become aware of their insane cult beliefs and practices. Scientology can't survive without promoting new members. But for every member they somehow manage to recruit, they make a much larger number of enemies.

If I was predicting, I would guess that when this story develops and becomes ripe, The Drudge Report will run it as one of their front page exposes with an appropriately nutty headline about Google attacking a psych conspiracy that has existed for trillions of years. LOL

Scientology: It can't escape itself. That's why Hubbard (and everyone else) eventually blows.

Answer: Theta com.

But even if nobody remembers to blow the whistle, Drudge will natively have this information because...."THE BEING ALWAYS KNOWS". lol

Something smells like BS. What exactly does this mean? As a non-profit, Google has a lower fee for Pay Per Click advertising, and the email repackages it as a "grant"? Google cares about Orange County and a cult that hates mental health? I think not. I call BS.

I was thinking the same thing, Anonycat. That they used this as a reason to ask for more money is another "tell" that it's BS.

Might have all been a trick to try to upset us SPs and get more money from the brainwashed zombies.

I suspect what happened is this.

Google probably has a program where 501(c)(3) non-profits, such as CCHR, can apply for up to $10,000 per month in free Pay Per Click advertising. CCHR is using its $10,000 per month in Google provided free Pay Per Click advertising for an anti-psych campaign, and calling it a "grant."

Bottom line is that Google is providing $10,000 per month in free Pay Per Click advertising for a CCHR anti-psych campaign.

Yeah, this is how I read the forked tongue of scientologese:

CCHR OC recently found out that Google gives sweet deals to NPOs. We jumped on that shit!

Google gives us $10,000 per month worth of Pay Per Click Advertising, which will be used for our Orange County anti-psych campaigns. Give us money now.

It's a legit program:

http://www.google.com/grants/

But a full list of who the grants have been awarded to is not disclosed anywhere I can find.

Thoughts on how we can harpoon this?

EDIT: There is some wiggle room in the Eligibility Requirement for Google to shitcan the grant that sounds exploitable:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like CCHR is not getting any cash from Google. What they are getting is free AdWords advertising, up to $10,000 worth of it.

If CCHR is a registered 501(c)(3) charity then it is eligible. More eligibility requirements here: http://www.google.com/grants/eligibility.html.

Until the IRS revokes CCHR's charity status it looks like CCHR will meet all the requirements, which are pretty simple.

It looks like the AdWords team is the fist to contact for any issues.

If pooning them doesn't work we could ask Tony Ortega to try and contact Google a different way.

Google Ad Grants Eligibility
http://www.google.com/grants/eligibility.html

Is your nonprofit eligible for Google Ad Grants?

To be eligible for the Google Ad Grants program, organizations must:

Hold current and valid charity status, as determined by your country; please see your country’s charity status definition below.

Acknowledge and agree to the application's required certifications regarding nondiscrimination and donation receipt and use.

Have a functioning website with substantial content

Please note that the following organizations are not eligible for Google Ad Grants:

Governmental entities and organizations

Hospitals and medical groups

Schools, childcare centres, academic institutions and universities (philanthropic arms of educational organizations are eligible). To learn more about Google's programs for educational institutions, visit Google for Education.

Definition for charity status in the US

US organizations must have current 501(c)(3) status, as assigned by the Internal Revenue Service, to be considered for the Google for Nonprofits program.

Note that it can take some time from when your organization receives your IRS notification of this status until your EIN appears and is updated in the online database. To be considered for the Google for Nonprofits program, your tax status must first be updated in the online database; copies of IRS letters are not sufficient for this requirement.

To maintain eligibility in the Google Ad Grants program:

Your ads must ONLY link to the ONE nonprofit website URL that was approved in the application.

You are required to actively manage the AdWords account by logging in monthly. Should you not log in to your account for 30 days, your account will be subject to pausing without notification.

Your ads must reflect the mission of the approved nonprofit organization and your keywords must be relevant to the nonprofit’s programs and services.

Strictly commercial advertising is not allowed through this program. If you intend to promote products or services, 100% of the sales and/or proceeds must support your program.

Your Google ads cannot link to pages that are primarily links to other websites.

Ads offering financial products (such as mortgages or credit cards) or those requesting car, boat or property donations and related keywords are not allowed.

Your website cannot display Google AdSense ads or affiliate advertising links while participating in Google Ad Grants.

Ad Grantees found in violation of any of these guidelines are subject to removal from the program. Google reserves the right to grant or deny an organization's application or participation at any time, for any reason, and to supplement or amend these eligibility guidelines at any time. Selections are made at Google's sole discretion, and are not subject to external review.

Is Google aiding Scientology front group that claims Holocaust was caused by psychs?

Is Google aiding Scientology front group that claims Holocaust was caused by psychs?

Tony Ortega has the story today.

Is Google aiding a Scientology front group that claims the Holocaust was caused by psychiatry?
http://tonyortega.org/2014/04/19/go...ms-holocaust-caused-by-psychiatry/#more-14447

Excerpts:
We contacted Google’s media relations as soon as we saw what former Scientology spokesman Mike Rinder posted to his blog yesterday. It was a mailer from the Orange County chapter of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), the Scientology front group that advocates against the psychiatric profession.

The mailer claimed that CCHR Orange County had secured a “grant” from Google and would be receiving $10,000 in advertising each month, which would be used in the organization’s “anti-psych campaigns.”

A Google rep answered our inquiry, referring us to the eligibility rules for Google’s Ad Grants program, called “Adwords for Nonprofits.”

The program provides in-kind donations from Google in the form of $10,000 worth of advertising a month for use by organizations that meet the eligibility requirements — namely, that they be registered nonprofits that have current charity status, abide by nondiscrimination guidelines, and maintain functioning websites with substantial content.

We asked if Google would confirm that Citizens Commission on Human Rights had received a grant, but Google won’t talk about individual cases.

We then asked for a statement about Google’s grant going to an organization that promotes the idea that the Holocaust was caused by psychiatry, and didn’t hear back.
We want to make two further observations. First, Scientology needs more advertising like it needs more bad press — it’s swimming in both. Scientology spends millions to saturate the Internet with its ads, and it could spend much more — it has more than a billion dollars in liquid cash raised from wealthy donors, former executives tell us. It’s placed ads during the last two Super Bowls, for heaven’s sake. Is that really the kind of organization that Google set out to help with its “Adwords for Nonprofits”?
