What's new

Hello, I am a Scientologist...

Thanks for the welcome. :)

In terms of the percentage of people I have talked to about Scn and the amount of people that have left. Hmm, not good odds there. Which is not to say that I am bad at it or anything like that. But what you are dealing with is so much more invloved and takes so much more time. You are talking about people who have been being brainwashed and taught how to handle black PR and what to say to antago people. LRH covered his bases well. He was no dummy there. I mean how long did it take for any of us to read "entheta" sites? How many of us thought Scientology was the one and only way?

You know, I started looking back at all the OTs I knew, and I noticed one thing in common with all of them. They had learned to conform. You do not get on OT 7 without conforming to exactly what the church wants you to conform to. I have about 7 individuals in mind here and all of them were fighting spirits and would write up off policy actions and really do what they thought was right. But after having to pay out the nose in intensives for more 6 month checks, well, they all seemed to conform a little more and whenever any of them would come back from Flag, they were like a different person. Not in a good way. They seemed to have lost a little sparkle in their eye, and seemed beaten down. I would hear the sob stories of being endlessly regged and haveing to buy another set of basics to get out of ethics on a liability formula for something innocuous. I know a fellow who has about 30 sets. Wow, he must have really fucked up right? One of my old friends has 10. She plans to re sell them.. to who? I tried to sell mine for 200.00 and got no takers.

Anyways, All of them are still on OT 7. Still plugging away. Searching for eternal freedom. Most of them are more insecure than I am, have more problems. It seems going into a small room to deal with all your problems as opposed to talking to the people who wronged you or dealing with life face on has in fact made them less capable at life. Like how Sea Org member are out of touch with the real world... well these OTs are too to a degree as well. At least from my own observations.

As for what I said about wasting time talking to IAAS, well, that person is a stranger. And it seems to me that if a stranger came up to you and debated Scn with you when you were one, would you ever have listened? I didn't even listen to my non Scn girlfriend about it way back when I was still into it, and she was dead right as it turned out.

It is not to say that we should ignore this person or whatnot, but you know, we can also take more time to talk to those we know and love that are still trapped in it. Cause the odds of you making a difference in a loved ones life versus a stranger are much higher.

I am not saying it is all a waste of time. Just that this thread in particular is very long and has seemed to take up lots of time. Well, I think we should all go on a protest with the time we used here today. That may be more effective to a broader audience than IAAS. But once again, just my opinion.

P.S. I am not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers or piss everyone off. this thread just struck a chord with me, and I felt for you all.

Done and done.

Surely from cancer, or HIV or diabetes, like the majority of them. <snip>[/COLOR]
.. Or maybe OT's die of failed apotheosis?

Hmm.. IIAS is not where he's listening to anything.. Is my impression.. He's more into throwing feces.. (By which I mean Hubbardian tech for handling abominable SP's and whole track psychs..)

But WTF, maybe some of our shit sticks to his face?

I have accepted the fact that IAAS is going to do nothing here that was stated. I decided that way back when. Thus, my suggestion of bunnies, which I credit the popularity of the thread to.

But first, to the true membership here of being so open to such a potentially interesting newbie.

But, that bubble burst long ago.

Suddenly, Samosas! Welcome, Sam!

Here you go.

This is now not only one of the longest threads on ESMB, it has become one of the most picturesque at the same time.

That's cool.

So where do we go from here?

By the way, keep guessing as to who I might be, that's pretty entertaining. Vicki Dunstan

I had an old friend who was an OT Scientologist (now deceased) who made efforts to continue communicating to people who were outside the Church squirreling. I always admired his integrity on the matter as he was asked to stop by the Church, but he continued anyway and never got any shit for it either.

Contrary to what some would like to think about Scientology, it is a very forgiving religious group. One might encounter some shitheads in the group sometimes, but does not detract from the philosophy and its true message.

This thread isn't even about IAAS anymore. Hasn't been for some time. It's about bunnies.

Plus this seems to be the thread to drop in on and troll a scilon every so often.:p

And welcome, Sam!

I understand it is real, and not a joke. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with DM using photos of his enemies as targets at the firing range.

R2-45:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R2-45
No. The whole of R2 (Route 2) is about getting someone to exteriorise from the body when they fail to do so easily on R1 (Route 1). There's no telling what interpretation DM has placed on this, he obviously has no sense of humor.

AFAIK, it was a joke he first made in a public lecture and it got a good laugh.
(Of course the following may just be a CofS-sponsored cover-up.)

“And even the cops or gangsters could make a Clear out of anybody over these circumstances by taking a Webley .38 or a Smith and Wesson or Colt or something like that, and doing R2-45. That exteriorizes most anybody! Now, the way the Lamas got there was to sit and meditate. We’ve had somebody sitting and meditating, I guarantee you, our research has included it.” (Lecture 19 of “Rationale of Create” Series, 20 November 1959, Melbourne Congress)

While representatives of the Church of Scientology have publicly acknowledged that "Auditing Process R2-45" refers to "someone being killed and [their spirit] leaving the body", they insist that it was presented as a "jest" or "joke" by Hubbard." In the transcript for the lecture "Exteriorization", in which Hubbard refers in passing to R2-45, a footnote refers to the process as being "used humorously".

However, critics of Scientology have pointed out that Hubbard also used it in apparently non-humorous contexts.

On March 6, 1968, Hubbard issued an internal memo titled "RACKET EXPOSED," in which he denounced twelve people (Peter Goodwin, Jim Stathis, Peter Knight, Mrs. Knight, Nora Goodwin, Ron Frost, Margaret Frost, Nina Collingwood, Freda Gaiman, Frank Manley, Mary Ann Taylor, and George Wateridge) as "Enemies of mankind, the planet and all life," and ordered that "Any Sea Org member contacting any of them is to use Auditing Process R2-45."

Former Scientologist Bent Corydon wrote that in late 1967 at Saint Hill, he personally received a copy of an order naming four former Scientologists as enemies and "fair game" and ordering any Sea Org member who encountered them to use R2-45.

Not such a waste of time.

Welcome Sam-osa,

When it comes to responding to a Scientologist on a thread like this don't forget the wider audience. ESMB has up to 300 guests at times and a lot of them are fence sitting Scios, debate such as this gives them an exterior perspective to the scio mind set.

Sorry it makes you feel like shooting yerself.

There is value in that these guys sharpen their swords on the ones OSA sends to distract us.

Agree, and the proof of sci lurkers turning into free people (from the cult) is my biggest joy here.

Also, bunnies.

Hi Moonchild

I agree with what you have said above and tend to reject the one-cause conspiracy theorists as too simplistic and convenient. Scientologists tend to say it's the psychs but then ignore other factors and forces that might also be at work as well.

I do believe the factors and forces to be the ideological ones that attempt to control populations for profit or gain. Interestingly these ideologies are often brought about individuals who fear others' power, to wit I would recommend Elias Canetti and his book Crowds and Power. Also not an easy read but worth the effort.

Buy it, read it and get the joke. I warmly congratulate IAAS on an ironical SOH that surpasses even mine.

Fair enough, I didn't say Hubbard was sane I just pointed out that the "process" is not Policy and is/was a "joke process" which was originally coined in jest during the Melbourne Congress. I'm sure that many who have been Fair Gamed and monstered by the CofS have not looked upon it as a joke and have taken it quite seriously.

I've read the mention of R2-45 in Racket Exposed and you really have to wonder about the sanity of anyone who would put such a thing in writing (or maybe not!).

My point it that, to my knowledge, it is not considered an actual auditing process nor policy of the CofS (despite Hubbard's erratic use of the term).

LOL agreed, you can't buy it on the Bridge! It seemed to me, to be a manifestation of his dark madness. Good thing he did print it and speak it. People do need to see his madness clearly.
