Hi everyone. I'm new here. I was never in, but have been engaging in activism of various sorts for some time now. Mostly I lurk but it's nice to be able to respond sometimes.

I'm not sure what else to say about myself. :) Thanks for having me!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the wonderful world of ESMB! :)

Um...um...would you like to join the ESMB Choir? We're not very good yet - mostly we can't sing to the same song sheet to save ourselves - but we do have fun bashing out a discordant version of "Won't get Fooled again" (The Who).

(The ESMB Choir doesn't really exist. It is merely one of my dreams to gather 100 or so ESMB members to sing their hearts out, splendidly attired in matching faux-navy outfits. :p)

:welcome: TY!
If you haven't lurked around much then you certainly have a tonne to read and digest, and a whole lot of folks to meet too! Enjoy your time here :) I too am a 'never in', and as a part of the Anon 'anti-sci' crowd have done a fair share of researching and study, dialogue, laughter, and commiserating as well. I quite enjoy my times here, some fantastic people, intelligent, witty, sometimes heart-rending, often enlightening, its been a trip and it ain't over by a long shot either :dance3:

Thanks for the welcome! As long as I don't have to sing "We Stand Tall" (or sing on key, lol) you're on!

Thank You! I've been a sci watcher/protester for some time now but this is my first day posting here. As a never-in, I am unable to get too close to the tech/policy without becoming seriously enturbulated, but I wanted a less fraught place to talk about this stuff, so I decided to give it a try. (The Mr is sick of hearing about it, LOL!)

I've lurked a bunch but one can always lurk moar. :) See you 'round the forum!

Cool TY! I go into 'lurk-mode' quite often, but being the verbose mofo I am, have some trouble keeping my yap shut at times :p
Thankfully I don't have a better half to irritate, and my wonderful kid is up on the whole cult thing and is quite understanding about my strange hobby and activism, how cool is dat?
Off to make some hay while the sun is shining (wash car thingy), ciao fer now, am sure we'll bump into eachother here & there :)

You don't have to sing "We Stand Tall" of course. Just "Thank-You for Listening".

:hysterical: Well there goes a perfectly good mouthful of beer! Geezus PT, ya could have warned us :p (I think she'd have to smoke a tonne of Cools, drink a pond of rum, an ass full of testosterone, and hang out with a gang of cattle for a while to hit those lows in 'Thank You For Listening'... :whistling:)

:)

Welcome, TY, but I have to ask, if you have never been in, how in the world would you ever have heard "We Stand Tall"?

Oh hai. Now you know my secret: I am an embarrassingly geeky researcher with a righteous streak. I've been on the internet forever and I enjoy research and learning about things. I'm protesting scientology because someone should be, dammit. And it keeps me off the streets. Well, not literally. :)
