LA SCN

NOT drinking the kool-aid
Very true, LA SCN.......but thankfully many have the sense to drink, and are thankful to ya for showing them where the water was.

AMEN and here's my postulate for more of them that drink! :happydance:

There's a new day comin'!!

Me too

I re-read this post today and remembered being in the same situation about 30 years ago (damn I'm old :) ).

I was 'sold' one dianetics intensive which at the time was US $2500. I went to the bank to get a cashiers check made out to COS. The bank manager came out to try to convince me not to make the withdrawal, to no avail of course. This pretty much drained my account of all of my savings from the previous 3 years. :duh:

I had already drunk the kool-aid, what can I say. I'm just glad I didn't have a house to sell!

But if a mans hanging a noose around his neck, surely we should do something to stop it????

What if everyone on this forum sends him an e-mail asking him to look at some outpoints???

Or maybe to check LRH quotes saying not to spend mire tha you have??

Of on person sends something entheta it will get deleted. But what if his entire inbox is flooded with ex members warning him???

Dint you think this could get him to open up his eyes a little???

Miscavige could piss on his back and tell him it's raining and all he'd do is pawn one of his kid's beds to buy a raincoat. It's going to take a lot more to get a junkie to break his addiction than a handful of emails from people he has been brainwashed not to trust. Scientology is a well orchestrated con game. Unfortunately sometimes the only way for an audit junkie to wake up is to finally run out of money so the cult can toss him aside penniless ... and let him get back to reality.

I'd rather focus on keeping unsuspecting people away from Hubbard's mindfuck to begin with, than to spend time on the ones already knee deep in the Kool-Aid.

I'm sure you know that applying such a tactic, would only serve to get the recipient to reject everything and anything, and would only validate the BS that the CofS spreads about the 'critics'.

Jase WTF...as if you care, a little while ago you were pushing a barrow to get through a doubt condition formula so you could get upgraded, how did that go anyway?

I assume that didn't come off, now you have dropped to enemy or lower and have changed sides!

I doubt you and your motives. So Jase what is your story, prove me wrong...I doubt you will but hey I am willing to be surprised.:omg:

If you feel I am dogging you, I am.

James,

I'm living comfortably in a happy medium, between work, play, Scientology and other things.

I spent a lot of time blanketed by my local Org, smothered in fact, by Scientology. This didn't work for me, and I stopped playing the game. discovered this place. And realised i'm not in-fact an "ex"

Since then, I'm back on course and I'm having fun. I'm taking on board the precepts, ideas and methodologies which pertain to my own survival, and acknowledging but not necessarily applying those which wont improve my own well being and those around me. . .

i don't believe in the ideal orgs. i believe that staff should be paid more. i believe that there's a lot of hype coming from DM. .

but i do believe that Scientology can improve your life. and it can simplify ideas about your existence, that one couldn't articulates, and brings about a certain "clarity" to your life.

but with all good things in life, there's always hoodlums trying to dominate.
gold, money, land, happiness, everything. . . . there's always profit. there's always power.

but that doesn't take away from the fact that it is valuable.

If you think you're going to be able to stay on course and on lines, and pick and choose what you want to believe and use and reject things you don't, you're probably going to wind up spending a lot of time in the org in Qual.

Or in Ethics.

Or you can pretend to be buying into all of it.

Neither one sounds like "fun" to me.

I've never pretended to buy into anything. I had issues with book and lecture series (history of man + milestone one) as part of the basics, while on course.
There's a lot of data regarding incident one, facsimile one. Also mentions of invaders implanting bone deep somatics. That's where I drew the line, I said this is Sci-fi, and Its not for me. And after a few hours chatting and referencing with my course sup,it was agreed that whatever is true for you is true for you. And we moved on.

The staff are amazing people, who truly want to help the public attain their goals. They have time to chat if you have any issues, and to be honest I've never seen or experienced sone of the things that have been mentioned on here. Like all night regging. Or keeping you after an event until you contribute.
The people I deal with are good hearted people who wanna help. They're overworked, underpaid, even underappreciated. But still good people.

You're obviously not training at Flag. :eyeroll:

I know what you mean, I was in org staff once. And spite the pressure to keep stats up, I was there to help the people first.

(ok, there was an sp or two around also, but compared to the tens or hundreds of decent people, it's to be expected)

I just want to remind the ESMB members: you were there too, remember?

To you I say: BE FREE, EXERCISE YOUR FREEDOM anywhere, good for you.

I'm glad you are able to go about it this way. While I consider it completely one sided from you. I do understand it to a slight degree. But you are still supporting the abuses.
If you haven't seen things like that...you are either being a good Scientologist and ignoring/denying it or you just don't go to events/"meetings".

Jase,
Gidday, well everything you have written above can be done outside the church, you are supporting a suppressive organisation, just by being there is far too much support.

You seem to confuse the subject with the organisation, if it is Scientology you want then it abounds in forums other than "The Church", if that is your bent then go for it, but for gawds sake tell the right people!

It is simple really you tell them exactly how you feel and that you will not support that group any more. Tell them you are posting here on the message board and show them the posts:yes:

Ok so the above is my PR approach to you, isn't it gentle, kind of nice....well actually I think you are just worming your way in here so you can be disruptive. I don't think you really think DM is full of hype, or "i don't believe in the ideal orgs. i believe that staff should be paid more".

Somehow you think this kind of statement makes you acceptable...shit you just lie badly.:coolwink:

So jase you know who I am, well at least you know my name etc...who are you?

Now I wouldn't ask this if I really believed you were here on this forum for any other reason than to be disruptive.

You are so politely...disruptive.

Tell those good people that you are disseminating scientology on the internet. They will applaud you.
Tell them precisely where on the internet; and see what happens. Either do this and keep talking or stop talking, unless you want people to start screeching "Troll!!!" at you.
