I don't know that the Indie Dependents and other Scientologists generally are "afraid of facts" per se. In their mind, there are no absolutes and facts are dependent on viewpoint. Its a world where up can mean down and the L Ron Hubbard Law of Commotion can be ignored because of things like "intent" and atomised context. Structural coherence is far too banky a concept worthy of homo novis consideration.
What I think they fear most is the "invalidation" which comes from disagreement. Those of us not locked into the Scientology mind fuck know that where agreement meets disagreement one will find the melting pot of ideas, the arena in which beliefs and facts are put to the test with a view to leaving behind that of which we once were certain. Or finding new evidence to support it. Invalidation is a Scientologist's kryptonite and disagreement the enemy of their reality.
Good points and a great explanation.
Thank you
