there's always hope. was in for 42 years, mid ot-7, very devoted. now am completely out. madman or messiah is an excellent book; also recommend it.
the point is you never know with people. i became involved in a unique circumstance and ended up out, out, out. very fast. took a week and a half from start to finish. amazing. 42 years offset by 10 days. who wudda thought?

She knows I can't stand scn but we keep things civil. She tries not to use too much terminology around me but just now she told me my new twins are stuck in their last life time. My husband and I are trying to get out but the job market sucks and one of my twins was born with a heart condition that has already given him 6 surgeries. He's 4 months old. I'm hoping I can sit down soon and tell my story. It's very interesting and could definitely sell. I just gotta get outta here first <3

In the last year I have started sticking up for myself for the first time in my life and she gets incredibly defensive when I call her on her shit. Then, to keep the peace, I try to "two way comm" (also known as TALK) it to a good point where she feels better. I don't do it often because it REALLY bothers her and I have to be somewhat robotic and submissive in order to stay here until we can get out. It's really quite sad. She thinks she's so powerful... I used to think so too. Now I just think she's a weak sheep who gave her daughter to the assholes so they could control, wash, and nullify her mind.

There are a number of ex members who went very far up the bridge. Did several or even all OT levels, all kinds of stuff. So re your Mom, ya never know.
I suspect that everyone has their breaking point, last straw- the thing that really got through to him or to her.
For some, it's the information. CofS always had trouble retaining members because it treats people badly. But I think that when more and more people got onto the internett, that this really sped up the flow of members leaving CofS. And why? Because on critical fora and websites is information. Lots and lots and lots of information.
Has your mother read any of the writings of BlownForood (Marc Headley)? To me, that sort of thing is exactly what would cause me to leave if I were currently involved.
ESMB has tons of accounts written by exes of their experiences. These things dovetail, meaning that a lot of the same names, dates and places coincide in those accounts. Pretty damn coincidental for a bunch of tales told by lying bitter defrocked apostates, eh?
