you would think that the "higher" a person went in a "religion" the more compassionate they would become, but the opposite is mostly the case with $cientology.
People become cold, have no compassion for others and can explain all situations in other people's lives very well with such things as "don't be banky",
"youre out ethics" and all the other one liners they spew out.
Then you look at their lives and wonder if they are applying this great "tech" to their lives...usually not.
Since leaving I have learnt what compassion for others means, and that true peace and joy comes from within.

I always wondered why, the higher on the bridge, the bigger the douchebag. Even when I was a kid running around PAC before my staff days... I always thought to myself... "Wtf is so special about this person? I think he/she is a douchebag". Also, the farther up the org board... The bigger the douchebag. Especially certain people who I'm not ready to call out yet. But MAN there were some real dickhead FRs in my org for a long time.

Hubbard has several categories of PTS - PTS 1 means someone in your environment is causing you to lose gains, then the re-surge when that person is out of your life = roller coaster. PTS type 2 is when the person who is bothering you is in the past, say if you have a nasty grandmother that made your life hell as a kid, and your mom reminds you of her, so when ever you see your mom, you feel attacked. PTS 3 is completely loonie
But then, you look at PTS A - some one is antagonistic to you or Scientology - very similar to PTS 1 Hubbard has PTS types a - j which are variations on the theme.
But the whole PTS mythology presumes these SP's have sway over you, and that you are a victim, and effect of their cause. The basic premise isn't about making you more cause as much as it is making the SP responsible for your condition.
It used to piss me off - I'd feel there was no sit just because I banged up my body, but sure as the sun rises in the east - almost every time I'd go to Flag for my refresher, I'd get PTS handling on stupid minor injuries, but the reason my business was in the toilet would be ignored. It's just nonsense.
The a-j types of personalities are good to avoid because they do make trouble and can be a handful to handle, but really, do you have to be a complete victim because someone disses your religion? Hell no.
That is what's so stupid about it - you are told (in essence) become cause by being a victim. Great control mechanism if you're running a cult but lousy advice to the person with a nasty situation in their lives. Sorry for the rant.

My father had the same effect on me ...... some people just compulsively try to dominate and control and they are miserable to be around and tend to leave their stamp on you if you grow up with them and you can't get away from them. It seems like creating confusion and 'make wrong' is their favorite thing to do.

And of COURSE I just had a horrifying nightmare. Dammit. When I think about the entire PAC base and the street the fort Harrison is on burning to he ground (empty) I smile. If I didn't "need fprd" before... I sure as hell do now. Too bad for them I gladly rock slam thinking of them. Dammit.

I BELIEVE it's Lrh but I'm not positive. I have a memory of seeing it in red on white (technical volumes) but I could be totally wrong.
