Has there there been even one word about that fine part? No. Not one word. Just boobs, boobs, boobs. I must depart in search of some ass talk and pixtures.

After I've seen some.......I'll be back.

This post made me giggle, Mick. I get it, I think, but I also think that you're a cranky ole 'one stop shop' bastard at times........ Maybe that's why I luv ya. :coolwink:

Don't agree though that one airing one's grievances equates to "pathetic" or the "hallmark" of Scientologists. From my experience, most Scios don't share what they actually feel, and to me it's not "pathetic" coz ya communicate your hurt over being slammed by someone or something who ya had faith and trust in.

Yes carm - it is the very epitome of "pathetic". To loudly lament how wrong and hurt one is - is pathetic. It is made even worse because one is not "airing a grievance" he is loudly announcing that he is leaving - therefore there is no airing going on.

Its just wailing and sniveling at that point.

Either - he should air the grievance and argue or just STFU and go home and cry.

He is, I think the same problem you have with Emma's rant occurs with Dexters.

It's hard to get personal about it. Dexters post should be relabled "I have a new opinion about emma" and Emmas post should be "I have a new opinion about terril (or what ever freezoner pissed in her cheerios)" That way there is no colateral damage.

You even posted a thread about it about being a [me]-ologist.

Personally, as a never have been scientologists, seeing the freezone / cos success stories are invaluable in keeping any one with an IQ above room temperature away from the scientology cult. I think Alanzo wrote that scientology worst enemy is actually scientology. When you see applied as intended reasonable people, like yourself, come to the conclusion that it's pretty much worthless.

So in an effort to not make it personal, I think emma and dex do a diservice to each other. Chances are a phone call or a PM would have settled the difference. Instead you now have PR efforts and camps setting up for war all over perceived slights.

I'm not sure why people (you / terril) who always want to be peace bringers keep stirring the pot with weird none posts. Granted I have only a small partial view into what set emma off but she is entitled to her opinion. I actually agree that any one who has read this forum and all the associated issues with scientology and thinks hubbard insanity is a worth while subject must have a mental deficiency. You wouldn't go on a 5 page rant about some dude on the internet calling freezoners stupid, yet emma has to kowtow to unknown sensibilities when expressing her opinion. Seems like a double standard.

I have no problem with anything, really. I agree that Ems and Dex should talk and I see what you mean.

My comment was in direct response to FoTi's suggestion that Dex should get auditing rather than post a rant like this.

Regarding the rest of what you say in that last paragraph, it doesn't apply to me or to anything I've posted or thought.

Long ago I put the FZ Success Stories thread on ignore. I haven't seen one post to it for years.

Are there ESMBers who *didn't* put it on ignore, maybe because they don't know how to, and got annoyed by the occasional post Terril made to it? (The "Ignore thread" option is in the "Thread Tools" menu).

Paul

I have never looked at the Freezone Success Stories thread once that I can remember...never used the "Ignore button" either...

Just too many other great threads and posts and interesting people to talk to, personal stories to read and shocking history to learn, etc.

I've never missed it. I will however, miss the presence and comments of Dex and Geir and others who may leave because of this kerfluffle!

Please come back and play with us some more, guys, when you feel ready to! :)

The Truth!

It won't be too long before all scientologists (in or out of the CofS) recognise the liability of using that word to describe their beliefs or activities. The scientology brand name is irreversibly tainted. Some bright spark needs to come up with a less-loaded label for whatever aspects of scientology they choose to use.

"Spiritology" has been tried but that seems to be too lame and tainted by association. I can think of several alternatives but they all make me feel uncomfortable.

Any ideas from those practicing some aspect of scio-tech?

From your lips to God's ears, Pandy!

Ha ha! :D

It sounds like the academic masters degree level course of study for sanitation workers of the future, as in,

"What's your major?" "Sanitology." "Oh, wow! So have you picked a topic for your thesis?" "Yeah, my thesis is going to be on Twenty-first Century Methods and Systems for Recovery of Previously Undetectable Micro-Unit Precious Metals from Twentieth-Century Landfills. :coolwink:

As an academic, I LOVE IT!!! :happydance: :D

Admittedly, manboobs don't have much of a fan base, but, butts are a different story (or, so I hear) and nobody specified.

Of course, there's always Beardsley, if you meant different 'parts':

I think Sanitology is a great name. It even sounds like the dreaded S-word. I was so impressed with my brilliance in thinking of it just over a year ago that I went and registered sanitology.com. However, I didn't renew the domain name when it came due a month or so ago, and I see that it is available again as I write if anyone wants it. :)

To me, the upset over this was not over you locking the forum, but over you calling all Freezoners "fucking stupid". .

FWIW, as a freezoner myself my view aligns with yours, C. Nonetheless, I fully recognize that Emma is pissed off and speaking out of her anger. Quite frankly, her anger has been fully justified by the actions of some truly "fucking stupid" freezoners.

So under the circumstances, whereas I might otherwise choose to dispute the niceties of freezoner iq's with Emma, I prefer to simply acknowledge what I feel she means to say without actually challenging the language she has used to say it. :coolwink:

I certainly appreciate the support though. Not all freezoners are stupid, although the genuinely "fucking stupid" among us don't help to increase our social acceptability. :)

As to the "success story" thread. I'm inclined to agree it's not really appropriate on the board. As I've stated elsewhere, IF there is to be a success story thread, then I think it should be open to anyone not just freezoners, in keeping with the generally open community promoted by esmb. Additionally, I think only the person who's success story it is should be permitted to post a success story, i.e. no more 2nd party posters like Terril.

I'm not arguing that there SHOULD be a success story thread. I'm just suggesting that IF there is one then the rules should be changed to allow for genuinely open expression of personal wins and so as to prevent one individual from using it as a "free advertising" space.

I don't think Dexter or Marina or Mark Baker are stupid, But I DO think it's a dumb (stupid) idea to go on calling yourselves Scientologists when you clearly are not. There is no value in it. And I wouldn't and don't ever want to again be associated with that kind (The true Scientology kind) of behaviour and I don't understand why anyone else would.

Emma, I call myself a scientologist because I use a lot of the subject of scientology. I learned much of that subject 30 years ago at a mission of the Co$ as it was then. Since that time I have continued to study some scientology materials on my own and with the direction of others. I acknowledge that connection by my continuing use of the term.

I have never limited myself to ONLY the study of scientology, not even while I was a member of the church. A case can be made that I could more accurately be called an heretical scientologist because of my willingness to be selective about what aspects of scientology I use. Personally I have no objection to either term, although strictly speaking I find that since the foundation materials of the subject of scientology call for the individual to use his own judgement in deciding about the appropriate use of scientology then perforce all genuine scientologists are heretical scientologists. Thus, for me the term "heretical scientologist" is something of a "redundancy" or tautology.

Now, we all know that the way the game is played in the church, and most especially the SO, heresy is NEVER tolerated. Frankly, neither the church nor the SO were ever important to me, so I don't give a tinker's d@mn what they decide. I'm perfectly content to continue to regard myself as a scientologist. I don't need to conform to some other person's definition of what that means. To me, that is what being a scientologist means.
