I have a new opinion about ESMB

Dex's response to her opinion, in my view, is unfortunate and in error . . . contrast his response to her versus his response to the "anti-fraternity" who far more viciously criticize the practice he believes in.

My view is that he ought to have extended to Emma the same love, "tolerance" and courtesy he has shown to those who actually express real enmity.

I agree that Dex's response is unfortunate, mostly in being a bit rash in his response. I lack detailed knowledge of what may be happening with Dex, but I BELIEVE that Dex undestood Emma's op as possibly a new statement of esmb "official policy" which would establish esmb as a "hostile environment" for freezoners. On that belief he considered his own continuing participation on esmb as compromising his integrity as a freezoner & auditor.

I do not believe that creating such a hostile environment is in fact Emma's intention. This is a point she has since sought to clarify. Once Dex comes to understand that, I believe we will once more have the pleasure of his wit, wisdom & extensive knowledge of rock'n'roll to enjoy here on esmb.

Regardless of the "truth" . . . . this post by Terril is just plain stupid. If this is what led to Emma seeing your FZ fraternity as being stupid, Terril, she is bloody right!

Are you so deprived of courtesy and the nuance of a little gentle English that you not accuse another of being a liar in an open venue such as this and instead choose something more delicate, such as pointing out, perhaps, an "inaccuracy?"

I see MAB later sets the scene with a little more accuracy which, as it happens, begins to demonstrate why Emma is rightly pissed at you and your carry-on.

I've met Diana, and she deserves respect and honor and common decency and courtesy . . . and I object to her being called a liar in this manner.

You are losing mega points of credibility Terril. I really recommend you take stock of what you are creating. It is getting uglier and uglier.

Bear in mind that 2 years ago I tried to get them to reconcile their differences. Niether wished to.

Then Diana very recently outed TO to great detrimental effect. Emma scolded her here for doing this twice.

As to the "success story" thread. I'm inclined to agree it's not really appropriate on the board. As I've stated elsewhere, IF there is to be a success story thread, then I think it should be open to anyone not just freezoners, in keeping with the generally open community promoted by esmb.
