I'm glad you decided to steer clear. It may feel strange, especially feeling so lured. If you're curious about what actually happens in Scientology, this board is full of individual stories and information. If you have any questions, just ask! Honestly, I didn't find out many answers while I was IN Scientology. I lived through the hell that it was, and when I left, I found out that all the materials and everything and all of the allure of Scientology could be explained away... All online.
You did the right thing. Be proud of yourself. You just saved yourself from even crazier experiences.
Appreciated. Today is definitely not the day for me to browse though.
I think I'll take a couple day, or week, hiatus-- and come back.
She said she was hungarian. I know a lot of polish, she didn't sound polish.
Kevin was the gent I spoke to-- I asked him beyond all beliefs of scientology that empirically I can decide he's forth fortuned, how it was possible for him to knowingly accept the teachings of someone as creepy and unbelievably deceitful as L Ron Hubbard. I asked him that even looking at his creepy smiley and the way he dodges real questions, how he could walk foot in front of foot at a church premised on his creativity. This is what I wanted to know. I wanted to explain that urge I had the other night when the title of this thread was embarrassingly posted to the people that were hurt by it. I thought Kevin might say something that made sense to me.
Kevin laughed and admitted he was a bit creepy, creepily, but because of what the church has given him he is very thankful.
Kevin has left 3 messages on my phone. My dentist, of 8 years, left me one message for a missed appointment last week. I forgot to tell them I double booked. The hungarian girl left one message. It was sweet and sincere. She wants me to know what they've made of my answers to the 200 questions. My bet is it's nothing new.
