Ah well then, you are already tainted and a lost cause in their eyes. A history of psychological/psychiatric treatment and you are not welcome to participate in any of their more heavy levels, you know all that space opera stuff? Unless you bribe them with a serious amount of money (like millions), money usually works. If you only have a few bucks, they will still happily take it all and hand you a book that you could read for free online. Good luck.

I respect a desire to improve your lot in life, but do yourself a favor, stay away from scary cults that exist to part a fool from his money, and go find a REBT specialist, a mindfulness practitioner, a prolonged exposure therapist, etc. Remember: 99% of all people who got involved with Scientology LEFT without gaining what they came for. What remains is the people who are blackmailed, bamboozled or utterly incapable of noticing that nobody they know is Clear or OT, even the people that say they are.

Sorry, I still can't understand why one would want to join Scientology. I mean there are so many lovely, friendly, groups out there, all full of romantic excitement. The Hells Angels, the Bandidos, the Mafia, just to mention a few of the more secular oriented persuasion. If these are too violent for your taste, then there are the Mormons, the Jehova's Witnesses and so on and so forth, and if those are a bit too anti-sexual for your taste, then you can certainly find a good BDSM-club somewhere near you - THEY at least use safe words. A safety feature you'll hardly find anywhere else.
So why oh why would you pick Scientology, when there are so many better, healthier, safer and way more affordable options available?

This does raise the question, I had heard a lot of scary stuff about scn, funnily enough from someone from Seattle, and yet somehow I joined, WHY????
I didn't want to, I tried to avoid it and yet like a moth to a flame I got singed. Actually far more than superficial burns.
SS, If you need a group to belong to there are meditation, Yoga, Mindfulness etc courses and groups, they will even help you, there are craft groups and evening classes that can teach you things. If you need to be beaten up and treated like shit there are boxing classes, just chose someone bigger than you to fight. If you just have too much money and need to donate some there's always the board here, always welcoming money, or just send me PM and I'll take some from you myself.

He was absolutely disgusting in this movie. His fake swagger or something made me want to puke. I just happened to turn to it on cable one day, saw a few minutes, and gagged.

That is going to come up on a sec check someday. The case supervisor will then make up a tailor made list asking you questions like "Are you a member of ESMB?" "Have you ever worked for the pharmaceutical conglomeration?" and hundreds more such questions. OSA will have a special file just for you.
