I Was a Scientologist

Yeah... I've got a friend who does this sort of thing. Interesting experiances reported, but nothing that can't really be felt in religion off drugs.

I should know. I published the "How to Have a Religious Experiance."

Today

I cannot describe the feeling I feel today. I'm completely euphoric... like I finally found who I am. Let me repeat that... who I am.

Being raised Christian, I wanted to experiance the world on my own. I went to all sorts of religions other than Christians. The most prevelant was Mormonism, Judaism, and Scientology.

I'm not a Scientologist. I'm not a Jew. I'm a Mormon. I realized that no matter what happens, the Mormon religion fit my "God gene" perfectly. It has the logic that I look for in religion and the emotional attachment as well.

So, that's pretty much how I feel. So many of the scattered pieces of the puzzle are just coming together now. This is the best day of my life.

Steve, I'm so happy you decided on being Mormon! Wonderful!! :)

MERCHANT OF CHAOS
When Connie said that if I truly wanted to have a better connection with God, then I could probably have a lot better one if I was not doing drugs, that made a lot of sense to me.

I went home, did a bong, and thought about it.

LOL!

I'm so happy to see you posting her Alanzo. I've enjoyed your
post on Bnet for years.

Alanzo,

You sure write a great story.

Reminds me of my young life.

I think back fondly to my mission days - of course I was lucky to be at a wonderful mission - those were some great days and I'm thankful for them.

I am glad, however, that I left when I did.

These stories always amaze me when I think about some of the similarities between them.

(BTW, my parents and relatives are from the Mid-West or the South.)

Please continue the story! :)

Great story Alanzo.

I never had life repair breakthrough with my father.I'm kind of glad of
didn't in retrospect.I'm long past any kind of male-bonding with him.
and the thought of possibly bonding with him...well...

I think my life repair breakthrough for me was a time I was putting
up vinyl siding on his house and I said to him "Just knock it off, quit
busting my fucking balls"...it kind of worked,in a Boston,yankee
sort of way.

An EST seminar probably wouldn't do me much better. The coach would
say "You really need to look at your racquet you have towards your father"

My response would be "No you don't understand,my father ran real racquets
in real life"....like John Gotti and Whitey Bulger:eek:

sorry ,just doing parody on some of this stuff.

anyway,I liked the part about the bong.It reminds me of people I talk to
in South Boston..they say things like "When I have a bad day,I do a few
lines of coke"

I liked reading your account/experiences
