Just received the following e-mail from IASA. They are now offering 2-for-1/matching lifetime memberships. I've never seen this before. They are obviously getting desperate over there!!

Dear Michael,

Lifetime Members of the IAS serve as the foundation of it all and every Lifetime counts! That is why this holiday season a special offer is being made available to you.

Gift a Lifetime Membership this holiday season to another by making an IAS donation of $5000 and the Association will gift a SECOND one to a family member or friend of your choice!

This means through your donation you could assist in making 2 new Lifetime members, both being part of the crusade to salvage this planet for life.

This offer will expire on 31st of December. So visit our website today at www.iasmembership.org/iasa and take advantage of this Holiday Special.

Every Lifetime counts! Your support makes all things possible.

Sincerely,

Selina Frick

Well, you've got to give them credit, they continue to reinvent the "Buy Now" I think they shoot themselves in the foot though for the yest of the year. Would you want to buy a Lifetime Membership for $5,000 if you could get it for $2,500? They never should have raised the price of a LT Membership.

Oh speaking of Lifetime Memberships....in the Auditor Newspaper, they introduced the newest Lifetime Member to the ranks!

A 15-month old baby boy! Yep! They paid $2000 for his membership, so they could count him on their Stats, see.

I wonder what stats they keep for LT memberships. Do they ever take people *off* the stat, like when they die, or get declared SP, overtly or covertly? It would be a piece of cake to keep a record with current computer technology, but I recall reading here recently that org computers are not networked together regarding IAS memberships, so it seems to me that even if Org A notes in their org computer system that someone is now in bad odour, Org B's computer system wouldn't automatically know about it.

Not that this has much practical benefit for the person who's told the CofS to get fucked!

The truth is there is a whole lot longer line of people wanting their money back from the IAS than there is people who are willing to be crush regged.

The lifestyle of the IAS regs is changing.

When our first child was born we were over the moon, friends and well wishers came and called for days.

The AO called too, I was told she should become a lifetime member of the IAS, she was two days old. In a weak moment I "signed up" for her.

Bugger it!

In our local IAS database here, we have a Lifetime Membership under the name of "Unborn Child" U (They used to let you do this)

Children being signed up...

Newborns being signed up...

Unborns being signed up....

That explains why the IAS reg said it was command intention that they sit in the room while I was having sex in order to get an advance payment before issuing a written "okay to orgasm".

No joke.

They are now willing to confront that now members only want half a lifetime membership. Wait for *Buy one get 2 free*

"Buy 1 get 2 free" deal is right around the corner. It really is. Fucking lame. And so very low. Ughh.

When I bought my IAS "lifetime membership" it cost $2,000. That was a long time ago, though.
