The Petition was created by Anon101 it says so in the contact the author page. whoever that is
I agree. I've been trying to find out for this reason. This brings up an important point imo.
While I believe nex is legit. we should probably be careful in the future about people who start petitions, change contact info in the middle of the stream, etc.
That online petition could be totally bogus if it wasn't started by someone who is known and trusted. Likewise with the new contact info.
Anyone could register at wwp and start a petition or whatever, then just dump it when it's done. Especially when there's a deadline and everyone is rushing around like crazy. People might not notice if the op was legit or not.
It would be a good way to derail people and get them off target.
Jus sayin...
Question - who is "nex" and who did he speak to? This sounds sus to me.
The person he spoke to could have just given him a "standard line", and/or be giving us a furffy......I don't know.
I spoke to Rohan Wenn, Sen X's senior chief and media advisor on Friday. he wanted the petitions faxed or scanned and emailed through.
Who knows "nex"? We need more data before we just buy this.
Oh snazzy. I got a PM on WWP asking me to check this thread and wondering if I created it.
*hides*
And I wasn't worried that people were taking shots at me. My pride isn't that fragile I was just offering details to confirm stuff.

Good news on two (point one) counts:Thanks for your prompt response, Nex.
So now we need to know who Anon101 is. Hopefully it is not the nick of Cyrus or one of his trolls.
Did you anons get the message that it was an INCORRECT instruction to not send all petitions via fax or email, before you post them?
My message to Rohan this morning (while he was doing a press conference), was misunderstood, and the answer I got back from him, was incorrect.
He certainly does need and want the petitons faxed or emailed to him, before they are posted, and can't believe that anyone from Xen's office was told anything to the contrary.
Nex, who did you speak to in Senator Xenophon's office?
Bugger!!!Gaad, I'm supposed to be in bed.
I'll alert WWP, and change the OP again. When I hit the sack they definitely didn't know.
This has to be one of the most counter-productive threads in a while...I blame the OP personally...oh...er...yeah....
Tbh, I was more concerned with trying to get the login info for the e petition so I really don't know.Does anyone know if anyone sent off petitions in mail without copying and emailing or faxing, before they went in the post?
