Good to see a forum like this. My family and friends are mostly hardcore Scientologists, so I can't really speak my mind about what I think is really going on. This forum is a welcome relief, but I still need to keep a wary eye out and not post any personal data....just in case

I came across this place while looking for some old friends whom I lost touch with, so I posted a thread in the proper forum with some names...check it out!

It does help a great deal however I do understand about you not wanting to post too many personal details, it is hard isn't it, trying to say what you think, but it does help to get stuff off your chest and the people here are really friendly and supportive as well as completely funny and off the wall at times too Indeed this forum is a welcome relief for me too. Just post when you're ready, no one demands your story, I've not written mine yet, just bits and bobs here and there, but it's difficult to remember a lot of it for me anyhow. So I look forward to reading your posts and hearing your opinions..

I could imagine a compassion sub-section on the CofS org board, under the Chaplain.

With the Chaplain post being held from the side by the Ethics Officer.

Yes. We did an analysis of the Church's org board and found that the lack of a Department of Compassion was The Why for much of the Church's long-term failure and abuse.

So we set up one here on ESMB and it seems to be working quite nicely.

Since Hubbard never wrote anything about compassion, and himself never really showed any, we anticipate the Church's lowering stats will result in ours steadily rising.

They have free coffee and donuts in the ESMB Compassion Department, they mew a lot, and everyone wears disposable diapers on the outside of their pants.

You must have been in the wrong room! The Compassion Dept just has lots of tissues, a few roses to remind one that beauty exists and cups of good tea (or the best coffee if needed). Paper and pens provided free of course. It makes a change from typing.

Shhh.....we are humoring him. Alanzo THINKS he is in the Compassion Department but its really the Old Folks wing....early onset Alzheimers, you know. We think its because of the aluminum exposure from holding the cans...
