Is there a list of COS freedom medal winners?

I would like to know. :)

Idea derived from a Mike Rinder post: http://www.mikerindersblog.org/freedom-medal-winners/

Maybe [STRIKE]we[/STRIKE] I can add data about the current whereabouts of these people to such a list. Especially if lots of former winners have blown, got declared etc. it would be nice to know, and hopefully useable against the cult.

Already found:

Should be only about 80 people: "The Church of Scientology has awarded just 80 people their coveted Freedom Medal," http://www.vulture.com/2012/07/will-scientologys-golden-boy-be-its-downfall.html

WARNING SCIENO LINK [I think] http:// www. freedom.org.uk/ mag/issuea19/page03.htm Wendy still mentioned. :p

"Wendy Honnor is thought to be the only winner of the Freedom Medal to quit and publicly distance herself from the church." http://wwrn.org/articles/37609/

Nice thread title, but. . .

There are 3 words in the English language that should never be used in the same sentence.

COS, Freedom and Winners. LOL

Done some research, found 63 of them.

IIRC Freedom Medals and the Winners were an outgrowth of the 1984 of the IAS formation. I believe the IAS publications, named IMPACT which were initially numbered, became the broad public announcement of the Winners. A review of all issues would lead to a full list of all the Freedom Medal Winners.

I am not sure if any of those Winners were 'announced' retroactively. Such as the IAS digging into Scientology history prior to 1984 and awarding the Medals for persons or activities also done prior to 1984.

I have not used any Scientology magazines compiling the list I made. Just some googling on the net and help from the WWP- and ESMB-communities. I was never in - just a Dutch Anon fighting for a good cause - so I don't have any COS magazines.

Maybe people with lots of Impact magazines [or other COS stuff] could look through their stacks of old paper to find more names or additional info on names already on the list.

(Part of that job, which I used, has already been done on http://www.truthaboutscientology.com/stats/impact/impact045freedommedal.html )

But then again I'm afraid that is too much to ask... :coolwink:
