It's time to leave Scientology when....

You know its time to leave when the staff who have heretofore been the sanest are driven insane by the insanest using crazy lists on them....

Really excellent post!

Perhaps the real reason CoS Mgt is obsessed about removing List 1 Rockslammers is...

They are slamming rocks against the real and virtual walls of Scientology imprisonment in a desperate effort to break thru and escape.

Ron's scientific research has shown that the general prison population gets rather disturbed by all the racket it makes.

Time to leave when you hear the "wins" of a new ot5 or something and realize you had the same "wins"/realizations from reading Zen and Tibetan Buddhism when you were 14 or 15 yrs old and and had never heard of scn or dianetics. :dieslaughing:

I thought "Why would I go through the time, money and trouble for THAT?!

Uh huh. Like when you find yourself a little resentful of people who say they have the same insights as yourself but they did not fork over the dough for it...so of course their data is not as good. :wink2: Like their exteriorization under nitrus oxide at the dentist doesn't count but your own at the scene of your highschool auto crash displayed promising OTness. :D

True!

But usually the wins I keep hearing from com course up to OT VIII sound suspiciously like some other wins........

COM COURSE SUCCESS
"I feel much calmer"

OT VIII SUCCESS
"I feel much calmer"

PSYCH STREET DRUGS (WEED)
"I feel much calmer"

PSYCH MEDICAL DRUGS
"I feel much calmer"

PSYCH LOBOTOMY
"I feel much calmer"

SCN VIRTUAL LOBOTOMY
"I feel much calmer and bankrupt"

At what point in Scn does one have to get out the mirror because they're so calm you can't figure out if they've dropped their body or are still alive?

No, that car must have been another unethical scientologist. :D

I was paying PUBLIC when this happened! That's one of the things that is so bizarre about it. And it was just suddenly out of the blue, it is not anything that ever came up in a reg cycle or an auditing cycle or an ethics cycle.

Someone just saw it and decided that it was unethical for me spend my own money that way.

So they tried to intimidate or "guilt me" out of it and give them the money instead.

These are some very nasty and mentally ill people.

Oh, that's a shocker, just horrid....but quite wacky at the same time.

I recall Jeff Pomeranz once giving a friend of mine a hard time over having a gold clear bracelet, but not donating *more*, at one of his IAS fund raising events. Funny to think of it now.....The money for that bracelet and the IAS money went to the same place.

Or that they have expanded so much on their dynamics. That's almost all of what I ever heard in any success story from clear on.

This thread has had me thinking. My God, there were just sooooo many times when I should have left, and didn't. Sooooo many times, and from the first day. It's still hard to pin-point *exactly* what caused the denial and the compromises.

Scientology was the winning valence. I never cease to be amazed at the beingnesses I have picked up because on some unconsious level I thought they were 'the winning ticket.'
I was totally flabbergasted by this phenomena when I did the Happiness Rundown in 1981. When you are asked "Did you ever do anything bad to that person?" Why do you think that is? Is it because you feel bad and are doing a life continuum for the person or is it because you are the winning valence in the scenario and the person's BTs want to ride with the winning side? When answering the former question it seemed this was when there was a 'leaving' or a blow in my sessions.. Just a curiosity.
I live next door to a couple who are straight out of the iron age. They chop wood for cooking, and bake their own bread, lived isolated on the fringes of the everglades, and are in many ways tribal thinking in their responses to outsiders. She is a 50 yr old from Iowa and he is an abusive alcoholic . I often wondered why she did not leave this man. After a year I realized his temper was so feared by everyone that by association with him, she felt she would not lose life's battles. Before meeeting him 9 yrs ago she'd had a sad life as a biker outcast.

FOR NO REASON....You get routed to Ethics to be lectured by an angry Sea Org MAA about being out ethics for buying a sports car. (this actually happened at Flag, folks) The MMA will not say what policy is being violated or what ethics action needs to be taken...they are so busy with a red-faced diatribe.

This happened to me when I was staff only it wasn't a sports car and the payments cost less than the maintenance on my beater had.

On second thought...

It is extraordinarily magnanimous of Scientology's spiritual leaders (Hubbard, Miscavige...) to sacrifice their lives to the Sea Org and help salvage Humanity.

In their divine beneficence, they relieve us of the evil effects of the MEST universe trap, allowing us to secure our Eternal Freedom by unburdening meaningless luxury vehicles, sports cars and motorcycles and sending the money up lines--where it can be used for the greatest good.

So they can purchase luxury vehicles, sports cars and motorcycles.

it's time to leave Scientology when...

You receive exponentially more case gain from the cup of coffee before your Solo Nots session than from the advanced OT Level itself.

...the entire world sees your parents and sister on Four Corners on television and thinks you've become a wooden headed incompassionate brat and you realise that you have become someone else than you really are.

I think I've fully reached the EP and KNOW without any doubts or reservations when it's time to leave scientology. I'm ready to attest, and just saw a picture of Jessica Alba so my needle IS floating.

My next dilemma though is when to leave this thread?

Is it when I realize that we're all wrong and Ron was just really just swell and I should report back to my MAA for some well deserved financial catastrophe and public humiliation?

Is it when I realize we're all a bunch of down stat losers with internet addictions when really there is a planet to be cleared so we should all be chasing car accidents and earthquakes with e-meters in our hands or luring gullible children into a cult to give up the best years of their lives for nothing?

Or is it when I realize HH is really Xenu?

Am I overrun? Is there a correction list for this?

The name of this thread is so funny. It reminds me of the "You're a redneck if you..." thingy.

Anyway, I should've left Scientology when this happened:

I'm on SS0 studying KSW #1 back in the 70s. There is a typo in the issue....something on the order of "teh" instead of "the". I pointed this out to the sup and the sup told me to look it up and clear my MU. :roflmao::roflmao:

Oh, I just thought of another one.

I should've left Scientology when the sup ordered everyone in the academy to do TRs until midnight after a drinking party to "get the stats up".
