We should be hearing soon from Michigan's Miss Fortune, reporting from her Glistening, Quivering Underbelly Blog in detail over on Reaching For The Tipping Point forum about this matter, but I just want to alert the public...

This is about an another unbranded Narconon facility being proposed by OT scientologist Per Wickstrom called Best Drug Rehabilitation . Please share

Here we go again...Per Wickstrom trying to bully another Planning Commission: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Manistee Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing in the Council to consider a request from: NAME: Best Drug Rehabilitation - for a Special Use Permit for Mixed Use. Yes, they do, DeeAnna. And Miss Fortune has written a very informative article about this application and the fact that they are claiming that the building will be used for intensive outpatient services and also be used for AA and NA meetings:

Wednesday, January 6, 2016
PER WICKSTROM'S TIA CORPORATION PROPOSED MANISTEE EXPANSION: January 7 Special Use Permit Public Hearing For 900 Vine Street; Best Drug Rehabilitation Plans "Intensive Outpatient Therapy" At Proposed Residential Area "Mixed Use Development".

The City of Manistee's Planning Commission is holding a public hearing tomorrow night,
January 7, at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers in Manistee's City Hall, located at 70 Maple Street. [..]

In this, Miss Fortune interviews AA and NA reps on their criteria for meeting locations. No way will these groups hold meetings at a place like Best Drug Rehab.

As well, the new property will most likely be used for an overflow of clients from their other facility which is only 3 blocks away and renting houses in the area for sleeping quarters.

If approved, this could wind up putting patients at risk as happened at Narconon of Georgia lying that they are residential but only licensed as outpatient. Ref:

Looking forward to seeing and posting her updated report on what happened at the hearing.
