The "Know to Mystery" scale is lame-o and has nothing to do with the actual reality of the matter.
Sex is a DRIVE like eating or sleeping. It is conducive to group relations and stress relief among ALL primates, including humans. Take a look at some Frans de Waal or any other Primatologist worth their salt.
It's no wondering single Sea Org members are so utterly frazzled - they aren't getting the rudimentals of life in the really scientific sense (out-ruds if you want to use the Scn't jargon). They lack sleep, they're either single so can't have sex or separated from their spouse some how so can't have sex, and then if the stats are down they get crap food! This is NOT a way to treat any primate so that they can properly function.
The quicker this society stops squishing down it's drives the sooner people can learn to handle them in a more adaptive way like most the Nordic countries or even frikkin Japan. Despite everyone working crazy ass Sea Org like hours the Japanese still have good health because they pressure valve when to release those urges via anime and karaoke and (monitored for STIs) sex-clubs etc. They indulge cautiously and when they do they make up for it by balancing it out with something else healthy.
What do we do here (in Scientology with SO members, in Christianity with everyone, etc.) we squish and squelch things to the point when people do get a chance the explode and do it in some fucked up in appropriate, non-consensual way ala Travolta and the masseuse or Catholic Priests and kids.
It's just a cluster-fuck of wrong ...
