Karma's a bitch: Int events

LRH lost the ability to snap his fingers and say "come into present time!"

It was his "creating a dangerous environment" technology.

He told us all that human beings thrive only in the presence of danger.

He was helping us. Can't you see that?

I'm sure some people got lots of "case gain" by being thrown overboard.

I worked on the mission for the 92'-93' New Years Event. That was the event where we came up with the bright idea for tickets. What a miserable 3 weeks that was with no sleep and constantly on the go. I understand that we got a dagger for that mission but I was gone before March 13 of 93. Almost free...not quite but almost.

Oh, you know, that reminded me of the "justified thought" explanation that I (and probably many other people) had for the most insane "ethics" threats -- post removal, RPF, offload, SP declare, excommunication -- which was that one could rise above the bank in one of two ways: by processing or by necessity level; the ethics threats were there to raise your necessity level.

Christ what lengths one can go to make it all sound reasonable to himself!!!

I just had a friend ask what all this "directed anger" thing was that he has been reading about. I guess he meant Tone 40 and I explained how it is used to Make Things Go Right No Matter What. His reply was that it was an artificial directed anger, trying to force your will - and no wonder psychiatrists are hated because that can be seen through. Interesting comment from a non Scio.

Raising necessity level is dependent on the viewpoint assumed as to what is necessary and what is the correct "level". And we handed over that decision....:melodramatic:

Real Tone 40 is like Ultimate ARC. As the full tone scale is available to high-toned being, anything on that scale may be used and seen, but only in such a way as to maintain and raise overall ARC.

Heh. Is that why your 'Tone 40 Bouncer' posts achieve such mirth?

Free To Shine, I'd have to say you have the same god awful misunderstood all the Sea Org execs have, if you think "Tone 40 Intention" equates to "directed anger".

Nah, nah....read my post Sneaks, though maybe I didn't explain it well. That is the viewpoint of someone on the outside looking in! Looking at the dedicated glare, determination and so on.

Of course I know what Tone 40 should be. I rarely saw it because what it really is supposed to mean and achieve is so rarely demonstrated.

Yeah, that "necessity thing" I remember well how it then got into complete misuse all over the place by not allowing breaks, no sleep and all nighters and all with reference to "how urgent it was to handle this right here and now", ending up on the decks, or worse as you say, Victor. It was also used as a tool at musters, and another thing that goes along with this is the ol' famous "raise your confront of evil"!

Now, believe it or not, the events were the HIGHLIGHT of life at Int, virtually the best part of it! They were the one day that you "got to see the fruits of your work." Not that this wasn't attempted to be damped by always making the announcement before we watched the event video that "DON'T watch this as a spectator -- watch it from your post viewpoint: what can you do to further this message and forward the programs announced at the event, etc, etc." And we had to give feedback immediately after every event, sent in writing to the Port Captain's Office. And if you had the "wrong" viewpoint (spectatorish; "wow how neat"), you would be pulled in by ethics. You were expected to say how you would forward Command Intention from your post as a result of seeing the event. Nothing forced there...

Of course, if you committed the mortal sin of falling asleep at a COB event (regardless of whether you had not slept in the previous week or not), you'd likely find yourself in a sec check.

Other than that, I enjoyed them, except perhaps for the last year or so, when just seeing DMs face was enough to cause unwanted emotions, pains and lowering of analytical powers.

This just sounds like brainwashing to me.

Well now I understand why at the end of every event they "survey" you. They always ask: As a result of tonight's event what are you going to do differently?

Always had to come up with some PC answer to that one. :grouch:

While less gaudy, similar events were occurring in Scientology long before Miscavige assumed his role as Scientology dictator.

As for "We are all one" being an "Implant," Hubbard said virtually everything was an "Implant."

I never met an implant I didn't like...breast that is. The other ones who knows? Show me the evidence.

God.

for those of you who were in the SO.

Wasn't it fucking nuts the way that every single thing that was supposed to happen was made into an emergency?
