Well, Leslyn Heinlein claimed that Laffy experimented with Robert, but that's not a greatly credible claim, as Leslyn had degenerated into a delusional alcoholic with an axe to grind by the time she made those charges.

It has been substantiated that Laffy had an affair with Leslyn herself, though. Heinlein had an open marriage with Leslyn, but it's not clear that she was into that, and the affair with Hubbard may have been out of spite.

Gore Vidal was a wonderful writer. He was a gay man. He was quite open about his sexuality at a time when most were not. He was related somehow by marriage to Jacqueline Kennedy. One of those "my mother used to be married to your step-father" type of situations.

I suspect that LRH was humping anyone he could, whenever he could (get it up) - gay, straight, or bi.

As far as "infidelity" it is very clear that LRH was in California having a sexual relationship with Sara Northrup while he was still clearly married to the mother of his first two children who lived in Bremerton, Washington.

Then there was the Sea Org woman assistant (sorry I cannot remember her name) whom he propositioned while he was married to Wife#3.

This dude was a skank from way back!
