Yes he lied here. I give you that. And yes, you have proven it, many times over and over. It's an established fact.

Hubbard had flaws like any other human being.

If, by "flaws like any other human being", you mean to state that

he was a sociopathic wife-beating bigamist who abused children and went on to create a mind control UFO doomsday cult that destroyed countless lives, ripping families apart and bankrupting others, then

I agree wholeheartedly with your conclusion, Balthazar.

Flaws? More like wide, bottomless moral chasms, sheesh! :coolwink:

Scientologists believe that the e-meter can help them to date and locate incidents from millions of years ago, and are in awe of Hubbard's ability to "recall",

often in great detail, these long-ago space opera civilizations.

Fedora Hats and horn-rimmed glasses for example, LOL!

Yet they do not find it the least bit strange or disconcertingi that Hubbard never once:duh::duh: recalled anything,

or anticipated anything resembling the internet, in all those lifetimes, and all those civilizations!

:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

The real reason people leave Scientology is because they wake up and recognize that it's crap.

Furthermore, we have been to the dark side of the moon and we currently have a rover on Mars. WHERE ARE THE IMPLANT STATIONS?:confused2:

If you guys are puzzled by Balthasar - who, not long ago, insisted the "Paulette Cooper Fair Gamed L. Ron Hubbard," keep in mind that he's a Ron's Orgs OT 8. That means he's completed the OT level which was written by Captain Bill Robertson, that was inspired by L. Ron Hubbard's 1980 Lucifer HCOB.

From the 1980 "Lucifer" HCOB (theory) for OT 8, the 'Third Wall of Fire':

"...plans were drawn up by a group outside the MEST universe for the eventual take over of a good portion of the universe... they conceived an ongoing implant... This implant... makes it effectively impossible for beings on the mostly heavily affected planets such as Earth to become free... give the subject population greater and greater susceptibility to telepathic impingement and direction by the controllers..."

Here's the description of OT 8 from Ron's Orgs, and a link to their Grade Chart:

" 'Excalibur' - handle the most secret and ancient barriers to OT, an organized attempt on the 7th dynamic [the controllers outside the MEST universe] to force one to conform to a lower state of awareness." http://www.freezone.org/e_bridge.htm

I posted this in slightly different form as a comment on a blog post but this seems like a good venue.

I believe that empirical testing by independent third parties with effort made to eradicate observational bias (things Hubbard avoided) will show that instead of overts being the reason people leave, confession can be used to dominate and bend them to the will of the confessor.

In Hubbard's terms, he was using confession to manipulate the "goals problem mass" in order to remove people's own goals and substitute them with his own. I say this because this is how I observed confession to be used in CofS. Typically confession is used in CofS when the CofS has screwed one over and one gets angry about it in order to shut one up and bring you back under control so they can get away with whatever lie or other destructive thing they just perpetrated on you without remorse.

"Overts" are also highly related to what Hubbard described as the "service facsimile" which has to do with domination or who is in charge. This relates to pack behavior. The pack leader - the dominant one - gets away with committing "overts" on the rest of the pack, that's how they maintain dominance. The top dog beats up the other dogs. He put it that they get to be "right", enhance their own survival while lessening the survival of others. If you can force those one is dominating to confess, you can continue dominating them.

"That computation generated by the preclear (not the bank) to make self right and others wrong, to dominate or escape domination and enhance own survival and injure that of others. (HCOB 1 Sept 63) Ser Fac, service facsimile. "

Although confession of sins can bring relief as valid therapy in some hands, it is easy to use as domination technique and is used as such as a matter of course in CofS. That is only one of Hubbard's "techs" that he employed in order to dominate people, not emancipate them. I consider CofS to be the physical manifestation of Hubbard's service facsimile and his attempt to dominate and enslave.

This is part of an article written by Jon Atack on Tony Ortega's blog in February 2014:

"Hubbard expanded upon his claims at every stage. He pretended to have studied with gurus in India, Tibet and China; headed “expeditions”; qualified as a “nuclear physicist” and had been a war hero. None of these claims is true. All can be rebutted from Hubbard’s own published writings. He expanded his autobiography from year to year, and these autobiographies are in the public record. For instance, with the publication of Buckskin Brigades, Hubbard said the material about the Pikuni Blackfoot people came from someone who had actually met them and related his experiences to Hubbard. By the time he wrote the preface to Mission Into Time, thirty years later, he had become a “blood brother” of the Pikuni at the age of four. As Hubbard said, “the road to truth” must be trod with “true steps.” He also said “honesty is sanity.” Judged by his own criterion, he was as mad as a loon. "
