past lives

I did a past life regression once and discovered I was Jayne Mansfield.

My headaches stopped after that.

I mentioned in a post a few months ago that my 'natural clear' girlfriend from back in 1980 firlmly believed she was Marilyn Monroe in her preivious life.
She was born the the year Monroe died or the year after.
I remember telling my Mum while I was in the cult and didnt even find it embarrassing at the time, as my family was not in the cult.
Now I have to smile when thinking about it.
Plus the fact that my ex-girlfriend, a born Scientologist officially left the 'church' in 2002 as she recognized the fraud etc.

I must admit when getting into it at the beginning that the whole past life thing was a main part of me wanting to find out more.

I was on staff in the SO and a few stories went around from people I knew who clearly knew about past lives, I really did believe that they were not lying to me.
Due to the whole thing about not 'discussing case' it never went into any detail etc.

I have read many things on the subject since leaving the cult and have remained a spiritual seeking person.
What convinces me most is what I read about Buddhism, but then again I can't remember exactly what it was.
Just seemed simple but convincing.

Dearest Kitty,
Regardless of who you were in a former life, some of the boys here at ESMB are hankering to know more about who you are now!
Start purring....

Can't you see that she already is "purring", Panda?

Welcome Kitty, no doubt you'll have some fun here, or at least the boys will! :giggle:

I thought that was just my imagination!
(Either that or some kind of hynotic/trancing effect caused by looking too closely at that avatar!) :coolwink:

So there wouldn't be any future lives either ?
That's a rather sad thought to me.

Corsa, the only thing I know is that I don't know. I know I am me, I am a spirit or a thetan and I am immortal but, as far as I am concerned, past lives have not been demonstrated scientifically.

During my auditing I ran past lives and I consider myself a very spiritual person but if the theory of past lives was actually workable we would have people at least in the thousands that would say "I was so and so and that's my old house, etc".

Lets put it this other way: "how come we forget?". LRH talks about the between lives implant, but did you ever ran it in session? And who the hell is administering such an implant? If we continue this way we get back into the same old sci fi story: the markabians, the whole tracks implants, etc.

But where are the damned implant stations located???

I don't want to invalidate anybody. Everybody has the right to believe in something.

My best response to this thread therefore is "we don't know". Even LRH was baffled on this point when he did Mission into Time. He didn't find the treasures... and he was LRH, the best auditor possible on this planet.

After this life, as far as I am concerned, I will continue to live as I am a spiritual being with a human experience. But I don't know exactly what I'll be doing.

Perhaps we'll meet back in the SO... :D

LRH did eventually disclose his answer to that particular question ("How come we forget?") in the materials of New OTVlll.

Oh, that's great! I'll take a new mortgage on my house so I can run over to the FSSO and get in the know..:D

 I thought you'd like that one! It's true (as far as anything in scn is true for you), btw, that's what they're talking about when they promote the "handling of the reason for amnesia on the wholetrack" in the PR blurb.

My reality on the subject of past lifes is:

I know about between lifes implant stations from reading about.

As a pc in the 70ies, I was run on R3RD for a couple of hundreds of hours, mostly by internes. I was running lots of past life incidents, which I hardly can remember now. No names come to my mind, maybe a few locations.

As an auditor, I have audited various pc's on R3RD and NED for several hundreds of hours. Most of them were going past life. Some of them were telling about past life incidents in a very precise and long and detailed way, without the slightest thing happening on the e-meter.
One pc, that was going clear on NED, was writing to me some years after in a letter, that he had travelled to those locations that he had seen in session and had found everything was exactly as he had described it for me in auditing. He was totally freaked out about it.

I have never done any OT-levels.

SP declared, I strongly hope we will not meet in the SO again!

The way out is the way through...

All our natter traces back to the fact we haven't completed our 1 billion years contract :D

Look at the positive aspects Corsa, next lifetime me and you will be young, clean, CMO qualled kind of people. So we'll end up straight uplines. You have also some auditor training (and therefore some confront) so you could easily be assigned the post of OSA INT INTERNET I/C. Your first target will be to close down all the internet critical sites. Your TM will be 2 weeks. :D

Helen O'Brien?
You and a dozen or so others who read her book.

I certainly hope your evaluative and mean-sounding reply wasn't a response to one of my posts on this thread. Good lord.

No, I was never ever Helen O'Brien and I never thought or had any impression that I was. Definitely not. I'd be a little kid or maybe a teenager if I were, right? Didn't DivVI say she'd been visiting FCDC til the late 80s or so? She sounds like a nice lady, though.

Yes I understand Fluff. There are just some things not worth being ridiculed for hence the wish to keep things private. On top of that some may begin to scream 'Proof, proof'!! :D

Yeah, I just saw a post like that. Anyone with an extensive background in Scn or Dianetics should know better than to talk to someone in that manner about something like this. This the sort of thing that made me decide to refuse to post a couple specific details about my life (while still disclosing MUCH more than many would) on forums. I see now that I made the right choice.

It's interesting you say this because I had to think about this thread for some time before responding. I had to differentiate whether I didn't want to share my experiences because it was private and I didn't want to involve others, OR, whether it was from my cult indoctrination. I really had to look at that, because as we all know, 'case talk' as they so idiotically called it was a VERY bad thing to do and we were reminded of this constantly particularly while on the TTC.

It's refreshing when one finally realizes that one can take the time to really think about what they are about to say, sometimes I used to just rush in where even angels feared to tread! :omg: Just blurted out stuff 'without thinking', which of course the cult taught me well. But now, I can think, look, accept, realize, take my own sweet time without freaking out all over the place trying to figure out what is 'right' and what is 'wrong'.

Good thread Fluff, good topic...

I’m perfectly OK with people saying that they believe in past lives and all that.

But being the cynical person that I am, if someone says something like “I am certain that I have lived before and I know who I was” then, I am going to ask for more evidence than them just “having a feeling”.

That doesn’t mean that I’m not prepared to believe them, it’s just that I like to see some hard evidence before I make up my mind.

And so you should Ax!! We've believed too much bullshit when we were on the 'inside'... :coolwink: to do us for a million years, it's about time we became a tad more skeptical about things!

As someone said to me when I came to this board first, it may have been Zinj, 'Trust but verify', and I've never forgotten that, in fact when I read that first, I was stunned... into thinking for the first time in years... :omg::nervous:

That's why I'm really against proselytization. I feel that if someone wants to say "hey, I know there're saints." or "I remember who I was in some other lifetime." or "I prayed and God answered"- then great if that's as far as it goes. If they're just confiding, discussing, or something like that, then I don't worry about proof or anything. But if they want another individual to believe it and say that they want the person to believe it then the would-be recipient has the right to say they want proof or other info or something.

Right. I think it hinges on whether someone is asking for trust. Like, say, the cult of CofS. They're asking for trust- IMPLICIT trust. And then they ask for money. And time. And do this. And do that. And more money. And more time. Based on trust.
