Three U.S. congressmen and a top-level government official attended the opening of the Church of Scientology’s National Office in Washington, D.C., Thursday.

Their attendance marked a significant endorsement from members of a government that was once partially at war with the organization.

Lawmakers in attendance were Texas Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Indiana Republican Rep. Dan Burton and Illinois Democratic Rep. Danny Davis. Liz Gibson, Senior Program Manager at the Federal Emergency Management Agency was also in attendance.

Jackson Lee applauded the organization.

“I want to thank L. Ron Hubbard for recognizing that courage is not rewarded but it is valued,” said the congresswoman. L. Ron Hubbard was the church’s founder.

“And to be able to have the wonderment of people coming together and ensuring that people come together for peace. That’s what I see in the Church, that you have come together for peace. I welcome and support that,” she said.

Burton and Davis lauded the church’s efforts in pushing Congress to pass legislation targeted toward child medication and the criminal justice system. Gibson praised the disaster relief the Church of Scientology has provided in times of crisis.

Church of Scientology spokesperson Karin Poux told TheDC, “None of the US government officials who spoke at the opening celebration are members of the Church of Scientology.”

The office, located in Dupont Circle in Washington, was opened two blocks down the street from the L. Ron Hubbard House, once called the Founding Church of Scientology.

Come together for peace?

Obviously these government officials are looking at and accepting Scientology PR and NOT at the REALITY of the matter.

:puke2:

They are suckers.

Scientology’s press release: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2012/9/prweb9901295.htm

Underscoring the importance of the new National Affairs Office to the Church’s greater social and humanitarian mission, Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board Religious Technology Center and ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, led the dedication. In honoring the occasion, he said: “Here is an Office designed to give back to a United States government that steadfastly guaranteed our religious rights—the very freedom that allows us to do what we are doing today. And with that, we extend our reach by invoking what we hold to be the greatest of all rights, the one right which must be invoked if one is to fight for the freedom of others—the right to help.

"Help" is of course the first step in Hubbard's "Deadly Quartet" dissemination formula. A Washington DC office would help to establish Scientology "Control," Step 2 of the Deadly Quartet.

The FEMA “Senior Program Manager” also goes by Liz Monahan-Gibson. http://www.fema.gov/news-release/long-term-recovery-committees-offer-help-disaster-survivors

Search the Scientologists' release to see how they've word-packed "help."

The Scientologists' National Affairs Office in DC being necessitated by the demand for cult-sponsored programs should be easy to prove. Did FEMA, for example, demand that the Vulture Ministers come to the aid of major or minor disasters around the country. Or did the Scientologists have to wheedle, celeb-pack and bulldoze their way onto FEMA's or Homeland Security's authorized NGO lists? Did Oklahomans demand that the Scientologists set up a dangerous druggie brainwashing operation in their state? Or did the Scientologists come in without even revealing their intentions, and then started the wheedling and bullying once they had a foot in the state?

I think that the only people who would demand Scientology-sponsored programs would be psychopaths. Where are these people demanding the programs you support, all you Scientologists? It is quite clear to me that you work to create demand, as your scripture dictates.

Hubbard said:
To start a new suborganization, one sets up on the basis of potential demand, sets up ethics to prevent demand-blunting or bad internal service or performance, works on increasing the demand, introduces service, sets up external ethics to prevent blunted demand, increases the demand by dissemination to new and old areas of demand, increases service, ensures product, increases the organization (not just staff), increases demand in new and old areas, stiffens up ethics, improves service facilities, etc., etc. It's continuous expansion of volume, continuous expansion of organization, continuous expansion of demand. Where one lags behind the others one gets trouble.

[...]

The ultimate product of Scientology is a universe that is decent and happy to live in, not degenerated and made miserable by suppressives as it has been. This is accomplished by the de-aberration of individuals and the prevention of blunted demand and re-aberration by suppressives, and this is the method of expansion. If in these early days of Scientology we have any troubles, they occurred by an earlier imbalance of expansion.

Demand was created without handling suppressives, which unequal expansion gave us a backlog of unhandled ethics in the society. All we need do is catch up our backlog in those organizational functions which were not expanded when they should have been and all will go smoothly.

Hubbard, L. (1966, 4 December). Expansion Theory of Policy. Management Series (1991 ed., MS Vol 3, pp. 334-41 ) Los Angeles: Bridge Publications, Inc.

It's not so hard to see the role that Rathbun, Rinder and the Indies play in Scientology expansion.

But there is no real demand, and there never will be. What you have left is the record of your efforts -- decades of programs, campaigns, crusades -- to create demand, to create want. What a record! There is no such demand.

Or, just show us the wogs that are demanding the programs you sponsor.

The real demand that your programs spread into society, whether by stealth or stink, is from David Miscavige as command intention, and from each one of you as you support that command intention. Only you Scientologists are demanding that your programs be accepted. There is a growing number of wogs who are telling Miscavige and all you Scientologists, as I am telling you here, to stop your stupid demanding, and stop implying that we are the people demanding the stupid programs you stupidly sponsor.
