A recent new Ex Scien that posted here last week.....stated that at Flag where she had been sent for training......when she took the Student Hat Course.....several of the Policy Letters and or HCOB......had been edited and stated that they had been edited by "RTC."

Now.....my understanding is the students of Scamology were not to "question why LRH was able to rise above the Bank." And that the Bank....is "collective, group think."

So now.....Scientology Materials...I suppose after GAT I and now GAT II....have all been edited by groups......and ....ARE GROUP THINK.....

And say so right on the paper. (Edited by RTC)

Sounds like a group to me...

Would like to see one of these "new" scamology materials....to see what exactly it states as to how revised and or edited.....

Anyway....with other posts here.....like the one where a couple SO kids wrote the "Pain and Sex " bulletin from "notes"....I know it's all bullshit anyway...

La Tubby liked to talk/brag about cars. On a SHSBC tape, LRH talks about being at the race track with a Jaguar "C" type car. ("and pulling the extra wires out from under the dash because he didn't want them there.....as the car wouldn't run right....") This is a rather rare car....and I have never seen the Cult publish a photograph of him and a "C" type Jaguar. I can't imagine that LRH was racing a "C" type and no photos taken. If LRH was at a track.....I would imagine a "Ron Mag" would have been published about it.....

Any old timers know anything about this era? Is it possible that he just made the story up? (yes it is)

(I know LRH talks about racing cars on another Planet....and committing suicide that way....but this is Planet Earth I'm interested in....LOL)

Can anyone tell me about this time at Saint Hill...? It had to be pretty early. (I have assumed this story takes place in England....)

I am familiar with the photo of LRH and the Jaguar 150 coupe....in front of Saint Hill.....

Here are a couple photos of a Jaguar "C" type. This car was manufactured from 1951 to 1953.....

This current story about HGB not tipping the Papa John's delivery guy for a $2000 order....reminds me of a story.

I was working at Wolfgang Pucks first restaurant, Spago in 1984, in LA.

The Maitre d' ran the front door....but he really didn't know the guests....or the celebrities. ( he was from Belgium ) But the woman Hostess, behind the Maitre d', named Janice did. She read all the trade journals...and knew who was who, who was important....who should be sat where,,,,according to Industry "status" and such....that came through the door at Spago. We were booked ahead 6 months in advance...from the day the restaurant first opened....so this was important.

Anyway, Janice's older brother.....was a cult member....and was at the time an OT 5 comp....and might have been on 7....(not sure.) His name was Marshall.

So....Janice also knew a few people that came in that were Scientologists too. ( I suppose ) Janice knew that I was a scientologist (at the time.)

I never told anyone at the restaurant that I was a scientologist......but Janice knew that I was.

Anyway.....one night....early, a rather fetching younger woman was sat at a very good table up front...(but very early in the evening....so not unusual...as they had to get out when the real big celebs came in later....) and Janise told me....."she is a scientologist." I don't remember her name....or even what she looked like really.

So....breaking my own rules (as to how I interacted with the guests) I went over to her table and said hello to her....and told her I was on lines at AOLA.

She looked at me.....curled her lip....and in a very snooty, hoity toity manner.....she said "I do all my services at Flag."

I said "Oh" and walked away. I am glad she wasn't on one of my tables....and I didn't have to talk to her again....

There was one SO staff at AOLA that I was friendly with.....thought I had some personal connection with. His name was, if I remember correctly, Bruce.

After years of seeing this guy around AO, ( I have no idea what his post was...but he was some Exec.) I was up at the Complex one day....and I saw him, by himself....over by the Fountain Ave steps/fountain to Big Blue building....on his knees....doing some gardening.

I stopped to say hello. He ignored me. There was no one else around....I didn't walk away...and said hello again.

He looked strange. He finally said to me "I am not suppose to talk ."

I said OK, and walked away.

I suppose he was on RPF?

I don't know what happened to him.

I hope he got out.

By the way.....the C of S never did get that fountain going down those steps running any water...after all these decades....did they?

I have a few minutes before returning to painting.

You mean Bruce Duczak, Renee Duczak's husband. I liked them both and they had great kids. Renee would get a bit highstrung when she was an executive, sometimes, but I think we all did. She had a heart, though. We had our disagreements now and then but mostly liked each other.

One time Renee was insisting we all stay very late whitegloving. The order was coming from above her, of course (CMO), but she was the one enforcing it. We'd been staying up late for days straight and I didn't have the physical tolerance anymore. I could barely stand up, couldn't see straight, I was so tired. So I did something risky that one rarely does - I just announced I was going home. I didn't care if I got in trouble or not, I had to sleep.

Renee slapped me in the middle of AOLA reception. lol! :omg:

I pulled my arm back in reflex, about to slug her back, and there was Bruce behind me, grabbing my arm and stopping me.

He kept his cool, which was great. He was as tired as anyone. They let me go home. They let most of the staff go home then and nothing more came of it.

Bruce was pretty level-headed, overall, but he had his moments, like anyone pushed to the limits would.

I wonder if anyone knows if they're still in?

Sheila, what was the last name of the C/S at AOLA's OT3 HGC whose first name was Bruce? I think he was C/Sing under Susan Salaman.

Good story, thanks. Yes I believe he was with Renee...I can picture her too.

Do you have any idea what Bruce was RPFed for?

Not really important at all....no big deal.

There was a Non-SO OT3 C/S....his name might have been Bruce? I believe his last name began with an H.

He was let go....in a non-SO house cleaning.....and took a job selling gold necklaces...on the street.

He was murdered ....in a robbery of his jewelry.....

Sorry, Pheno, I only remember him vaguely and don't remember. If it comes to me, I'll let you know.

Leland, I don't think Bruce Duszak was ever on the RPF while I was in the SO, so it must have been before or afterward, so I can't help you there. Sorry.

100 years ago this year....World War I was in full swing.

It is amazing to me that most of the Countries that were involved....their Royal Families....were related and or intermarried.

One of the results of World War I was that many of the ruling Royal Families.....( if not all ).....had to give up their right to rule. (Japan Royalty had to step down after WW II, I believe)

I thought I'd heard that in Phoenix Tubbie hisself had purchased a couple of Formulae 1 race cars that he intended to race. Apparently some one managed to talk him out of driving them - but what became of them ?

Seems they would be front & center on display in the shrine to him & featured in publications as hisself as a legendary race car driver.

Or, as with most everything else about the man, is this just pure bullshit ?

I heard that story also....about the F1 cars.

Thanks.

No question, he liked his toys. Watches, cameras, and such....
