Pretty much everything that I feel should be explained I have explained. There may be a couple of things that I might add later, but for the most part a lof the the basics have been covered in this subforum.

However, at times others might post things which are useful.

If you find something, feel free to post a link to this thread, saying what it is and then where it is.

For the first one, Alanzo posted a reference on this site which is useful.

Some more (mostly) 'behind the scenes' Scientology materials

It's possible to be a Scientologist for years without being aware of some of the shadowy parts of Scientology; however, it's not possible to be a Scientologist without being affected by those shadowy parts.

Here is a collection of non-confidential docs, including the Tech ('Red') Volumes, OEC ('Green') Volumes, some old Grade Charts, Admin Dictionary, a few other books, etc. The only confidential material listed is a (non C of S organized) collection of OT level material. Confidential HCOPLs are not included, as they will not be found in the 'Green Volumes'.

And, then, here's some info on the RPF and the RPF's RPF:

Includes a peek at some of the RPF's confidential docs:

And, also, here's the 'Information Full Hat' Checksheet, which provides, at least, some idea of Hubbard's writings on covert activities involving Propaganda and Intelligence:

And as a reminder of the mentality involved, here's an excerpt from the original March 1965 'Fair Game Law':

Of course, there's more - more in all categories; and there are other categories, such as confidential finance (secret bank accounts, tax fraud, etc.) materials, tactical 'legal' harassment material (of which the "ruin utterly" instructions in the 1955 'Manual on Dissemination of Material' provide an early - non-confidential - glimpse); and, there are the LRH PPRO (Personal Public Relations Officer) materials, where the survival and well being of Mankind are equated with the protecting and maintaining of "LRH name and image." Nonetheless, this sampling gives some idea of the other parts of Scientology, the dominant parts, which are kept behind the scenes.

My best shot in one page:

1) argument using Fallacious Argument Works

2) Intelligence Interrogation Techniques WORK

3) Electricity Works

4) Hypnosis works

(Black Dianetics works)
here is another angle, a possible example of 'black dianetics' and why that registrar is so irresistible when he asked for your money - To accept scientology is to accept that you have a terrible, awful thing, a reacti...ve mind that you must get rid of... Hubbard also refers to it repeatedly as your BANK, and a scientologist is absolutely certain that he MUST get rid of his BANK!!.. Now wouldn't it be easy to get money out of you (AND from your bank) to get rid of your reactive mind which he artfully defines as YOUR BANK? Check out this letter from an oldtimer with Hubbard at the beginning http://www.lermanet.com/cisar/carto/rxxx.htm

5) Blackmail works

We have YOUR dirty laundry, now be silent

6) Harassment Works

Both online and in life...

7) And the thing that works the most in scientology are its lawyers

Lawyer Subsection a) and Religious Cloaking WORKS on governments LINK

The scam can be organized conceptually another way

Part 1 : lies, tricks , artifice used to lure good people in using false promises.

Part 2 : Techniques used to extend the amount of time it takes to figure out that you have been defrauded

Part 3 : Techniques used to silence or nullify those who have figured it out.

British Parliament, 1968:
Mr. St. John-Stevas: Since the right Hon. Gentleman has reflected on the subject and is noted for his academic brilliance, would he say in one brief, concise sentence, exactly what Scientology is?

Mr. Crossman: Yes, I think I could: it is a fraud.
