About Us!
http://milestonetwo.org/dolph/page/About_Us
WHAT IS MILESTONE TWO

Milestone 2 is an on-line membership community. Its activities are carried out across the planet and it has no fixed location. Access to the

Milestone 2 fraternity, support, services, library, groups and forums, is through membership only.

What are the objectives and purposes of Milestone Two?

To foster an open enterprise virtual platform for a broad and supportive international fellowship and community, uniting people to use the tools and technologies of L. Ron Hubbard on a daily basis to better conditions in the world, and to help themselves.

To preserve and protect and correctly use the original spiritual philosophy and technologies developed by L. Ron Hubbard in order to secure this path to spiritual freedom for all those who wish to walk it.

To support an abundance of network communication lines to achieve the aims of the fraternity and to maintain inviting, supportive, honest and transparent communications for any who are interested in participating or wishing to learn of Milestone Two activities.

To support making training and qualifications services readily available across the planet, through the Milestone Two membership fraternity, to maintain the standard application of L. Ron Hubbard’s auditing, ethics and management technologies.

To provide support for Field Auditors, groups and organizations so they can obtain and maintain high technical standards and thus ensure their effectiveness and prosperity.

To initiate broad-reaching dissemination programs that individual members can use to introduce people to L. Ron Hubbard, his philosophies, and the technologies he developed.

To support an inter-faith program, promoting tolerance, cooperation, care and understanding as integral aspects to any movement that pursues ethical purposes.

To support the ongoing whistle-blower program on abuses and corruption of L. Ron Hubbard’s discoveries and technologies, making clear delineation between such and the body of work itself.

How does Milestone 2 work to build and foster a true group?

In accord with LRH’s Essay on Management, Milestone 2 does this by:

a. Creating affinity, group to group, and within the organization, and to create and maintain a high affinity with the rest of the world.
b. Creating an organization that is the model of a better world.
c. Persevering in the continual raising of organizational tone, toward the goal of the highest individual tone.
d. Self-generating the organization into a model of efficiency in all its functions and programs, with high pride in the performance on the part of every individual member of the group, and working to correct any individuals, units, or groups, with hatting, word clearing, ethics, de-PTSing, cramming, evaluation, justice or other appropriate technologies.
e. Making prolific use of the evaluator tech to always find correct situations and right whys that generate effective plans to move the fellowship community continually towards its various ideal scenes
f. Exchanging in abundance with Milestone Two members, and by continually building on the amount of theta in the group, to guarantee the longevity, greatness and general survival of the fraternity.

THE MEMBERSHIP FRATERNITY

There are two tiers of membership; Associate Membership, and Full Membership.

Anyone can be an Associate member of Milestone Two as long as they; are at least 18 years old; agree with the objectives and purposes of the organization; have paid the annual membership fee; and provided their full name, email, address, city and country they live in.

Membership is open to individuals. Groups and organizations cannot be a member of Milestone Two, however the individuals of that group certainly can. Individual membership is paid by the individual – not by corporations, groups or others, en masse.

What is the cost of membership?

There is no difference in cost between the two tiers – both are $30 annually. There is no lifetime membership available. Membership payments are made online, through Paypal or credit card.

Access to Milestone Two’s online community and activities is only possible while a member is a paid member. Failure to renew or pay membership results in loss of access to Milestone Two networking facilities and community.

What is Associate membership?

An Associate Member has access to the Milestone Two Community online and can network with other members and thereby be part of a cohesive community working to build, deliver and disseminate the technologies of L. Ron Hubbard.

Associate Members are kept abreast of Milestone Two ongoing activities, projects and programs, and can voluntarily contribute as they wish.

Associate Members may use the Independent Scientology logo for any related activities, projects or communications they are involved in.

Associate Members receive the online Milestone Two journal and also receive the Annual Report, which includes detail on organizational activities, financial status and strategy. The opinion and views of Associate Members are valued, however they have no binding vote.

What is Full membership?

Full Members have all the benefits of an Associate member, plus they have a vote in the strategy, programs, projects and activities of Milestone Two. There is no difference in cost between the two tiers, but there is a difference in contribution activity and commitment.

Full Members can request and potentially receive Milestone Two funding for their own activity or group, to build it in size, scope or delivery capacity.

Full Members can take on positions as Milestone Two staff and may be remunerated for their performance of specific key functions, as feasible. Full members are also eligible for nomination for a position on the Milestone Two Council.

An Associate Member can become a Full Member by;

1) evidence of extensive contribution towards the aims of Milestone Two;
2) passing a PTS A-J check and Help & Control Check by someone qualified to use an e-Meter;
3) nomination by another Full Member;
4) acceptance by the majority of Full Members (i.e., more than 50% of full members).

An Associate Member cannot become a Full Member;

1) By financial contributions or donations alone;
2) By relying on only past accomplishments and nothing in present or recent times;
3) Denigrating or disparaging L. Ron Hubbard or the workability of the technologies he discovered;
4) if they have not taken responsibility for any past membership or support of groups that have used L.Ron Hubbard’s technology harmfully.

Can you resign as a member of Milestone 2 if you wish?

An Associate Member or Full Member of Milestone Two can resign at any time, however refund on annual membership fee is not possible. Any advanced payments for Milestone Two services that have not been delivered will be refunded.

How are Milestone 2’s finances managed?

Milestone Two generates revenue through many lines including, but not limited to:

1) membership fees
2) field auditor/group support services
3) virtual folder storage and online auditor/C/S software
4) Chaplain/Mediation services for the Membership Community
5) Milestone Two events
6) Donations.

The Milestone 2 finances are overseen by the Managing Director, and reported on directly to the Council. Annual financial reports are provided to the full membership community. There is transparency on all membership finances.

When is the first Annual General Meeting and National Conference?

The first AGM is not yet scheduled, however is planned for mid January 2014. The location is not yet determined, however it will be within Europe or USA, and access will be available through web conferencing for those unable to attend in person.

WHO IS IN CHARGE?

The Milestone Two Membership fraternity and community (Associate and Full members) performs the activities and projects to deliver and expand.

There is no hierarchy, no statuses and no management body that runs the membership fraternity, or the field auditors, groups or training centers. There are no orders or compliance reports, as all the projects and programs of Milestone Two are originated by members and initiated and completed based on their own drive, desire, purpose and intention.

Who coordinates and services the Membership community of Milestone 2?

A small coordination and service Milestone Two organization exists for the Membership Community.

Staff of Milestone Two have NO management capacity or function over field auditors or groups -- they offer coordination services to the Membership fraternity and community to assist them to improve, build and expand their activities using LRH technologies. Such coordination services are provided and accepted entirely on a voluntary basis.

Staff of Milestone Two have responsibility for ethics within the Membership fraternity and community – however this is simply to hold the channels firm for the delivery and execution of Milestone Two programs and activities – not for any other dreamed up purpose or counter purpose. HCO Milestone Two is there to detect and deal with PTSes and SPs that create trouble within the organization – but has no interest in the personal lives or activities of individual members.

HCO of Milestone Two can revoke an individual’s membership with Milestone Two if a Member refuses to cooperate or deal with a PTS situation that is impacting on Milestone Two activities. They can also revoke permission for the member to use the Independent Scientology logo for whatever projects or activities they are involved in.

Technical and Qual staff of Milestone Two have a responsibility to maintain technical standards in Milestone Two programs, projects and activities -- and departures from those standards are handled with the regular instruct, cram, retread and retrain line detailed in OEC Volume 5.

What are the qualifications to be a staff member of Milestone 2?

A staff member must be; a) a Full Member, b) ratified by the Council of Milestone Two, c) fully hatted for their function/post within 6 months of appointment and d) must train/audit regularly and thus be moving up The Bridge.

What is the post of Managing Director?

The Managing Director coordinates and works with the Milestone Two staff and the Membership Community to achieve the aims and objectives of the organization. The Managing Director, as a staff member of Milestone 2, has no management capacity or function over field auditors or groups or members of Milestone 2. Such coordination services are provided and accepted entirely on a voluntary basis.
The Managing Director is a voting member of the Council and attends all meetings, however cannot at the same time hold the position of President, Secretary or Treasurer of the Council.

The Managing Director and staff of Milestone Two may be paid based on a financial system established by the Council, with a system that rewards production and is commensurate with the work being done by the individual staff members.

How is Milestone 2 governed?

The direction, strategy, finances, staff and production of Milestone 2 are overseen by a Council, comprised of Full members.

Any Full Member can nominate for a position on the Council, as long as they are minimally OT 3 and an experienced auditor; have proven accomplishments and competence in applying the technologies of L. Ron Hubbard; a proven record of contribution regarding the technologies of L. Ron Hubbard; have taken responsibility for any past membership or support of groups that have used L.Ron Hubbard’s technology harmfully; and must audit/study the technologies of L. Ron Hubbard regularly so they continue to move up The Bridge.

Council members are not remunerated for their work to govern Milestone Two, however their costs to attend the yearly annual meeting, and any other valid expenses are covered by Milestone Two.

Council positions are established through nomination and voting by Full Members, once a year at the Annual General Meeting and annual conference.
Council members have a term of 3 years. There is no maximum length a person can stay on the Council, however they must, every 3 years, get their position reaffirmed by the vote of Full Members.

Who is the first Council of Milestone 2?

The first council of Milestone Two was formed from the initial Founding members. These positions are only valid for 1 year and must then be reaffirmed by a vote by the Full Membership at that time (with all Full members able to nominate for positions on the Council and on staff). The first council members are:

Tom Martiniano, Dani Lemberger, Bernie Wimbush, Mark Schreffler, Jim Logan, Silvia Llorens and Lana Mitchell. In addition to her position as a council member, Lana is also the first Managing Director of Milestone 2, valid for 1 year.

What are the responsibilities and functions of the Milestone Council?

The hats of the Milestone Council members are:

g) Ensuring risk management is in place;
h) Maintaining transparency and strong open communication lines with the Membership fraternity and community;
h) Overseeing financial obligations and management of Milestone Two monetary resources;
j) Overseeing technical standards of Milestone Two delivery services.

Council members of Milestone Two have NO special privileges or rights not afforded to all Full members.

What is the Justice Committee?

A Justice Committee exists, separate to the Council and to staff and executives of Milestone Two. This committee is comprised of 3 Full Members, hatted on ethics policy and original justice codes, with the function of being a last port of call on technically incorrect findings and instances of flagrant injustice or out-ethics actions which are destructive to statistics.

The Justice Committee has a Chairman with two members, and can conduct Board of Investigations, Board of Reviews and Committees of Evidence. These are convened by the Council if situations come to their attention that have not been handled by HCO Milestone Two effectively and must be handled for the Membership Community.

As a last port of call, the Justice Committee can also initiate justice actions on any council member or executive/staff member of Milestone Two if reports to HCO have not resolved severe ethics matters.
FAQ
http://milestonetwo.org/dolph/faq.php
Who can join Milestone Two as a member?

Any person that agrees with the objectives and purposes detailed in the Milestone Two constitution is welcome to join and become part of our membership community.

Do I have to use my real name to be a member of Milestone Two?

At this time, with so many individuals departing, separating themselves from, and hiding from Corporate Scientology, there are hundreds if not thousands of people who actively work to not attract the attention of Corporate Scientologists. The ongoing practice of disconnection makes it especially hard when family and friends are involved. We of Milestone Two believe that remaining under the suppression of Corporate Scientology is not a survival activity, however there are many who remain "under the radar" to protect themselves, friends or family. Yes -- you can join Milestone Two under an assumed name -- however if you chose to do so, realize that as Milestone Two is about actively getting projects and programs done, and we want members to be involved, there is always the possibility that your identity will become known by trolls or others trying to create trouble. Regardless, all are welcome here, as long as you are willing to roll your sleeves up and contribute in some capacity.

Does Milestone Two run or manage its members or field groups?

No. Milestone Two is not a management body -- it is a membership community. It is the members themselves that govern Milestone Two and the role of Milestone Two is one of coordination among members.

Who can propose a project or a program within Milestone Two?

Any member can propose and initiate a project or program within Milestone Two -- but it must be something that THEY are wanting to initiate, oversee and get completed. Other members can then collaborate, assist with resources and so on. This policy is based on LRH's program technology, which states there must be a person responsible for a program. It also prevents members from coming up with ideas of good things to do, but with no plan of being responsible for it themselves (thus creating projects that never get off the group, let alone get completed).

If a project bugs or stalls, what can be done?

Milestone Two assists to get programs done by working with the person/s running the project and applying Debug Tech, Word Clearing, Hatting, or in some circumstances, even providing money to get the project through to completion.

What are the benefits of Full Membership compared with Associate Membership?

A Full member of Milestone Two has a vote in all matters relating to the governance of Milestone Two. They have a say in what the forward strategy of the organization is. They can vote to determine who is on the Council, and can also apply for nomination for such a position. They can work as a staff member of Milestone Two itself, and they can also nominate other Associate members to become a Full Member.

How can I become a Full Member of Milestone Two?

You need to be nominated by a Full member based on the productivity qualifications detailed in the Milestone Two constitution.

Favorite Part of the Milestone Two Constitution?

Favorite Part of the Milestone Two Constitution?

I'm trying to determine my favorite part of the Milestone Two Constitution.

Is it the equirements for Full, voting membership?
An Associate Member can become a Full Member by;

1) evidence of extensive contribution towards the aims of Milestone Two;
2) passing a PTS A-J check and Help & Control Check by someone qualified to use an e-Meter;
3) nomination by another Full Member;
4) acceptance by the majority of Full Members (i.e., more than 50% of full members).

An Associate Member cannot become a Full Member;

1) By financial contributions or donations alone;
2) By relying on only past accomplishments and nothing in present or recent times;
3) Denigrating or disparaging L. Ron Hubbard or the workability of the technologies he discovered;
4) if they have not taken responsibility for any past membership or support of groups that have used L.Ron Hubbard’s technology harmfully.
How I've missed meter checks....

Or is it the part about Ethics and "HCO of Milestone Two":

I am, however, a bit confused. How can they say that, "HCO of Milestone Two is there to detect and deal with PTSes and SPs that create trouble within the organization – but has no interest in the personal lives or activities of individual members?" What if "HCO of Milestone Two" determines that a member is PTS because the member is connected to an SP who happens to be the member's spouse, parent, child, sibling, etc.? Might not that delve into the personal life of the individual member?

I'm also curious regarding what would qualify as refusal to "cooperate or deal with a PTS situation." What happens if one is unwilling or, much more likely, unable to "handle?" Would the refusal to disconnect constitute a refusal to "cooperate or deal with a PTS situation," resulting in termination of one's membership?

Then again, perhaps my favorite part is:
What is the Justice Committee?

The Justice Committee has a Chairman with two members, and can conduct Board of Investigations, Board of Reviews and Committees of Evidence. These are convened by the Council if situations come to their attention that have not been handled by HCO Milestone Two effectively and must be handled for the Membership Community.

As a last port of call, the Justice Committee can also initiate justice actions on any council member or executive/staff member of Milestone Two if reports to HCO have not resolved severe ethics matters.
Query, does "ethics policy and original justice codes" include the Fair Game Doctrine? Knowledge Reports? Disconnection? The ends justify the means Kha Khan Doctrine? The ends justify the means rule of doing the Greatest Good for the Greatest Number of Dynamics, as measured by statistics?

I wonder how open they will be with the number of members paying membership fees? The fees are relatively low, so not a huge impediment. How many non-CofS people who still identify themselves as Scios (more or less) are just going to say, "Fuck this shit. I had enough of it in the CofS"?

I think the whole M2 thing is doomed, kind of like a bad joke.
It does have a little entertainment value though, imo.

I'm just curious. There is no requirement to release membership numbers, and some (PR) danger in doing so. If they were 2000 the first year, 2500 the next, 3500 the next and so on, that would give them great bragging rights. If it's 120 the first year, 34 the second etc, then not so much. :biggrin:

I think the whole M2 thing is doomed too. Still, they get to spend hundreds of hours doing O/W write-ups and cramming orders on each other before they finally throw in the towel. Passes the time.

The Indie 500 has stalled a little below 500 for quite some time now.

http://www.scientology-cult.com/declarations-of-independence/the-indie-500.html

There are however people on this list who no longer identify themselves as a Scientologist, e.g. Penny Krieger: http://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/the-way-out-is-not-the-way-back-in/#comment-269415 .

So I guess I'd be surprised if there are going to sign up more than a few hundred people.

I think the whole M2 thing is doomed too.

I fail to see how joining this group will benefit anyone except those who are unable to live their lives without policing from an external authority figure. Tells me a lot about the big able beings attracted to it. Tells me even more about the character of the people who have elected themselves as council members.

I was curious. A quick Google brought up the A-J Meter check required for full membership. In the class conscious world of scientology, who would want to be a mere mortal associate.

I trust those who know will correct me if this is not the right document.

From http://standardtech.wordpress.com/out-tech/a-to-j-meter-checks/
A-1. Have any of your family or friends ever expressed any disagreement with Scientology?
A-2. Is there someone who doesn’t want you to be here?
A-3. Are you here to prove to someone that Scientology works, or to show them.
B-1. Do you have a criminal record?
B-2. Have you committed any crimes for which you have not been caught?
C-1. Have you ever threatened to sue or embarrass or attack Scientology or Scientologists?
C-2. Do you know of anyone who has?
D-3. Is anyone or anything the cause of the way you are now, or some condition you are in?
E-1. Are you here on your own determinism?
E-2. Do you feel obliged in any way or to any one to be here?
F-1. Are you here to see if Scientology works?
F-2. Does Scientology always work for you?
H-1. Do you want to get better?
H-2. Do you know of any other mental technology that works?
I-1. What gains are you expecting in Scientology?
J-1. Do you represent an attempt to investigate Scientology?
J-2. Do you know of anyone who is investigating Scientology?
J-5. Have you ever had thoughts of suing or requesting refund if the tech “didn’t work”?

My understanding would be that everyone who has left the church of Scientology is going to have a little trouble on some of the questions as written above. Are they going to replace the word "Scientology" with "Scientology Milestone 2" when they go through the list?

Substitute the words Psychology or Homeopathy or Yoga for Scientology in the list above to really appreciate how batshit insane it is. Tell your future group members that they will be strapped to a lie detector when asked these questions and see the Olympic dash records crumble as they run screaming away you. Yet there are some people who think this is a good idea. Good lord.

I spotted a comment over at Marty's, a very basic human need that perhaps the founding members should have taken into consideration before embarking on their ego trip :

When miscavige, via his high-priced lawyers, took a pot shot and myself and my wife a few years back, two people stepped up and helped. If those two people hadn’t done that, it’s quite possible that we would have shut down and called it quits for good.

Mark (Marty) Rathbun and Mike Rinder are two of the most intelligent, compassionate and competent people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Saved the day, they did.

They didn’t sec check me or A-J check me or insist I follow their personal justice codes in return for, or prior to their help. They just helped.

I don’t really think I need to say any more.

Steve Hall's I-used-to-be-Jesus club is for indies who miss the control and security checks? They should just pass out tweezers for all the splintering that will always happen for the indies, because like Marty, each indie is going to start reading too many outside books.

Each indie is their own island of crazy and that's how it's going to be from now on in the age of information here on prison planet Teegeeack. I think they should have a one time fee of $1000 to buy eternity in Hubbard's House of Indie Crackpot, so they will have "certainty" that they won't be shivering in darkness for the next trillion years and beyond.

Hubbard stated that no matter how "OT" you might be, that OTs can ONLY make it in a tight-knit GROUP!

I am sure this newest Scientology "group" thinks with similarly stupid notions.

As with so many other of Hubbard's "datums", this is just another idea he pulled out of his ass to serve his purposes (to create the Sea Org).

Think about it. An "OT" is TOTAL CAUSE over matter, energy, space, time and thought, both subjective and objective. The idea of 8-8008 is to take the zero of YOU and to bring it up to INFINITY, while bringing the infinity of all other universes down to nothing (zero).

Why would such a being need a group? :duh:

Of course, trying to make sense of all this is absurd. There are NOT OTs. If there were, who would need a group to make you "more powerful and effective"? You are already a god (read the above ability for OT VIII).

Just another contradiction within the lunacy of Scientology.

I remember seeing and hearing Scientologists PARROT this, "OTs need a strong group to survive". Yap-yap-yap, just playing over and over Hubbard's stupid statements.

Looking at this reminds me that I was actually a cult leader myself, once, in a sort of a way. I invented a club at my school, and slowly invited a few people to join. It was very exclusive. We spent some happy hours grandly defining what we were all about, and why we were so great. I invented titles and honors and distinctions, and bestowed them on those I deemed worthy.

The whole thing lasted maybe two weeks, if I recall, before my members all either got sick of me being pretentious, or just lost interest and forgot about it all. One guy got sick of me not taking it seriously enough. He was maybe my one true believer. In fact I lost interest, myself.

See, I was eleven.

And driven by a sense of great purpose, to salvage LRH tech and Save the Planet, bless their little hearts! :biggrin:

I wish them all well in their wake-up process.

Also, btw, I noticed in one of their requirements for membership something about how they cannot denigrate LRH, so that lets me out, darn! LOL!
