I haven't watched one of his videos since number 8 but (for some reason) this one (post 841) interested me!

Funny.

Same here! I have an embargo on "Marty vids". I watched 2x of them. Need I say more.

But this one from Mr. Swift caught my eye and I clicked "play". I found it very very entertaining.:biggrin:

Watching Marty Vids, for me, is up there with "cleaning really really dirty ovens". I have a truly powerful avoidance pattern activated. :)

I haven't watched one single Marty vid and I intend to keep my record unblemished. Besides it's fairly obvious where Marty is getting his dirty slimy ploys from ...

Mawty Mawty Mawty :melodramatic::omg: what a trainwreck.

I admit to a certain amount of guilty pleasure in watching Mawty as he flounders about
trying to make himself of some importance as an authority on everything and everyone:yes::duh:

But now he's just a guy on the side of a muddy road stuck up to his axles in mud.
A pitiful reminder of the mindfuck that is Hoobards Scientoologeeeeee:omg:

Good video J :thumbsup:most sense Mawty's made since he got back from Target 2 and half:clap:

:biggrin::yes::hattip:

Speculation alert:

You know, for some reason I keep thinking about the story BFG told about how the church got Tom Cruise back in.

If you recall, there were people who kept tabs on Cruise for years when he was totally inactive in Scientology. Then he had a personal crisis. The church swooped in and convinced Cruise that Nicole was the SP on his case, and got him back in the fold.

It seems to me some scenario like this may very well have happened with Marty. Even though technically there was a restraining order against COS for going near the Rathbun's, I have no doubt that there was someone keeping tabs on them; probably someone they knew they didn't suspect was reporting back to COS. If they did it with Terry Gamboa and Ron Miscavige, I'm sure they did it with Marty.

They probably were waiting for a time when he would be susceptible to turning against Scientology critics.

"My Scientology Movie" probably gave them what they needed.

What occurred with that movie probably put Marty in a state where he was highly emotional, angry at the "critic world". The church may have swooped in. Played up to his ego. Convinced him that the "anti-Scn cult" were his real enemies. Told him they would stop the harassment, pay him, guarantee security for his family and his son. Whatever his go buttons were.

In return, he agreed to drop the lawsuit and screw the lawyers. Use his blog to criticize the critics.

I also keep thinking about what Steve Mango said about the fact that church payoffs are now every six months. Things have been pretty quiet on Marty's blog since January. Now it's almost July and for the last two weeks he's done these videos.

Let's say the church got really nervous about Leah and Mike insinuating they were going to launch a legal attack on the church. So...they get Marty to do these videos to discredit them. Before the July check...

I know I'm just pulling all of this out of my butt, but it does kind of fit...

Well Lulu Belle, with those stereoscopic eyes you sport there, I am sure you see a lot more than we ordinary folks see from your wonderfully high perspective.

And on this you wrote:

Well we are dealing with shit here, no?

Lulubelle, this makes the most sense of any speculation I have seen. My Scientology Movie made him look foolish. His ego and utter lack of ability to look inside himself will not allow him to consider the possibility that he really DOES look that foolish, ergo it must be others who are MAKING him look foolish. And, because he sees himself as being very, very important, of COURSE there are MANY people who are obsessed with bringing him down.

There's a common theme here-- the anti scn community all wanted something from him because he's so important, and, when he told them NO (because of his superior ethics, of course), they banded together to "get" him. People disconnected from him because of some conspiracy related to his importance; it couldn't be that no one wanted to talk to him because he's an insufferable, pompous asshole.

He was was slowly becoming more isolated from others and increasingly irrelevant in the anti scn community, and I'm betting he thought that movie would restore some of his former glory. Instead, he just looked stupid. I think it's quite possible that Scientology took advantage of the resulting crisis of ego.

Marty was vulnerable, Scn swooped in with money and ego strokes. He gets paid and gets to be BMOC again. I like this theory.

Here's an interesting bit of archival trivia. . .

Once upon a time, it was highly unfashionable (considered "mean" by some) to post anything critical about Marty Rathbun. That's quite understandable, actually, considering that he was leading a kick-ass whistleblowing crusade (it seemed) against the COS (Crimewave of Scientology).

However, even though he was exposing all kinds of disgraceful secrets of the cult, there was always a very toxic thread that ran though the life and times (and posts) of Commander Rathbun:

--For example, he was very big indeed on censoring/trashing anyone who disagreed with him--and even banning entirely posters that questioned his infallibility on all things Scientology.

--For example, despite having left the COS, Rathbun was still a "loyal officer" and "KSW" Scientologist who promoted the lunacy of Clear, OT, Xenu and other super-human clownery. No crime there, but it was telling that his (supposed) rapier-sharp analytical mind was fully unable to "rise above" Hubbard's incessant lying and absurd claims of "miraculous" OT powers.

--For example, Rathbun was not content with simply banning those with opinions other than his own (quite Hubbard-like, ain't it? lol), he felt compelled to "dead agent" them with vitriolic character assassination. That's when he reverted to the maturity of an adolescent schoolyard bully with taunts and name calling (in a Scientology way) where he would fire off a volley of Scientological "curses" like "
1.1" (SP), "low toned"(SP), "hater" (SP) and "punk" (joking & degrading SP that "besmirches the good name of L. Ron Hubbard").

Well, all rambling & ranting aside, let's get to the point of this post, shall we? LOL.

I am reposting something from "THE STUPID THREAD" from 6.5 years ago (January 2011) that did not receive even one comment. Not a LOL, not a "LIKE", not even a "WTF?". LOL.

78 months later, how times have changed. All those early-stage bizarre "volcanic eruptions" by Rathbun are now far more comprehensible, taken in context of Rathbun's fully erratic behavior in the past year. In other words, there were blaring "clues" of what was to come, if only anyone cared to look.

Jeez, will anyone just acknowledge me so I can stop ranting and post the damn thing already? LOL

I mocked up getting drunk & disorderly.
I postulated going to jail.
It's a win.
Really.
.

So, anyways, now it's 2017 and I am still asking myself. What exactly was Rathbun's original "postulate" that he is having so many "wins" on these days? He seems quite "VGIs" and "uptone "about all this vicious Fair Gaming he has been doing of late.

What does it all mean?

Where is the clue?

Unless he is the low toned one, the hater and 1.1 that he has breathlessly been warning everyone about all these years. . .that might explain it.

Two things are obvious. Marty is still wearing the same shirt. All the videos, so far, were made on the same day.

Marty is not the boss of these videos. Someone is giving him direction, and Marty is seeking approval from one or more persons behind the camera. He is subservient.

Someone else, not Marty, decided how long to work on the day these videos were made.

It would be interesting to see the outtakes.

Will Marty suddenly appear in a new shirt? If so, we'll know his boss said that's enough for one day, and that day two has commenced.

Sometime in 2015, Marty, it seems to me from my glancing observations of his blog, did move beyond Scientology and did move beyond defending Hubbard. He did, and undoubtedly still (now, privately) has a pretty good idea of what Hubbard was really doing and how he was doing it.

IMO, he had assembled enough pieces of the puzzle, or had encountered the puzzle pieces assembled by another, and could see the picture.

That's what makes this development particularly tragic.

I went over to YouTube and watched the Steve Mango video you were referring to. That was the first I've heard of the six month installment payoff schedule. Is that new information, or just new to me? It makes perfect sense. Any idea of his source on that?
