It's hard to know how to evaluate or predict Marty's dramatic climate changes.

BEST BET: Prepare for both a global warming meltdown AND an ice age. Either and/or both may randomly occur at any point during an Eon, Era, Epoch, Age, Millennium, Century, Decade, Year, Month, Week--or even during the same Day!

I'll match your bet and raise it to an MxR-33 size twisted string. Don't forget physicists are still trying to find the 11 dimensions anticipated in the TOE but what they don't realize is there is a 12th dimension and that Marty Rathbun dimension holds the key to solving everything.

Please let me know when Marty comes forward and tells us what strings are being pulled, then I will come back up out of the many rabbit holes I keep falling into and go to the scientology research lab at the ranch for further enlightenment.

You're right, NOBODY (who isn't obsessed with status) TURNS THEIR BOOKS FACING THE VIEWER! Only bookstores and hack advertising graphic designers and IKEA catalogue photographers would even think of that.

It's not that strange, nor is having unfilled spaces. I have a couple books cover-out because I like the covers and it fills that particular shelf.

I think people are reading WAAAAY too much into the "professionalism" of this video. It could have been shot with an iPhone on a tripod. It's not some super-slick production.

Rathbun owns a suit. OMG! Rathbun put a little pancake makeup on his face for the best look. Wow - conspiracy! Kids do that before their prom pics. It's shot in a room that seems incongruous with other locations in his life! Good Lord...do you think maybe he could have reserved a conference room at the library to shoot in? Or asked a friend to borrow his basement for an hour?

Yes, CSI could have shot this video, but so could Rathbun's cousin or a $50 gig from Craigslist. The lighting is not that great, and quite frankly it's very textbook 3-point. It's better than the usual "talk into my laptop camera" stuff on YouTube but it's hardly slick.

My guess is that he knew someone who does video...I mean, he's been in multiple productions so this isn't surprising. Even if he picked someone out of the phone book, getting a few hours of video (if there's even that much) is not that expensive.

I don't know why people need to read deep conspiracy here...the most simple explanation still seems to fit the facts: Marty's got a paranoid, distorted view of reality. Schizophrenia often runs in families (so sayeth Wikipedia) and his brother was schizophrenic. Take someone with those genes, put them through 20+ years of Scientology (including a 2-year stretch where he was on the FreeWinds auditing nonstop), give them abusive power, also abuse them a bit, add in a media spotlight and years of CSI harassment...and GO FIGURE, the guy is a nut.

The alternate view that he is in some kind of deep cover role for CSI just seems silly to me. Occam's razor. Where is there evidence that this kind of subtlety is part of the Church's modus operandi? Their attack videos are so over the top, and the idea they'd slowly re-seduce Marty and use him as a subtle critic would be an operational 180 for the Church. I mean he's an SP for pity's sake.

To me, Marty is just a crank and I've seen nothing that isn't explained by that.

Is it possible he's the ultimate double agent for Miscavige? Anything is possible but focusing on extreme possibilities instead of probable realities often is another way of expressing paranoia.

I'm glad that someone's playing devil's advocate here.

But I don't feel that what you characterize as "the most simple explanation" fits the facts the best.

How does it fit the fact of the Rathbun's firing their attorney's, throwing them under the bus, and bailing out of a lawsuit that they were WINNING?

How does it fit the fact of Marty handing over a personal email he received from Dani Lemberger to the CoS that could have (but didn't) hurt Dani when involved in litigation against the CoS?

There's other facts as well that point to Marty as having switched sides.

Just saying he's a "nut" doesn't best explain these things imo. It's a possible explanation but not the one that best fits the facts.

Once I was having an interesting conversation with (at that time) Scientology's only big-time Hollywood feature film Director Milton Katselas. Milton was also a celebrated Tony-Nominated stage director, very well connected to other legendary actors & directors.

Milton relayed to me a story of how one day he received a personal written invitation from L. Ron Hubbard (whom he had never met) which only said:
