Shiny & Free
In 8 or 9 years on staff I had one two week holiday - to get married. I could neither afford a holiday nor get approval for one. Yet Tony & Cheryl had their annual holiday to QLD.

In one way I admire how they've managed to live a somewhat normal life and how they kept their kids out of the clutches of the cult, but on the other hand their treatment of everyone else's desire for holidays and to keep their kids educated and out of the cult just stinks of hypocrisy.

It takes a lot of fancy footwork and doubletalk, and perhaps even the ability to fool the meter as many oldtimers can do. :coolwink:

"......The Anderson Report concluded that "Scientology is a delusional belief system, based on fiction and fallacies and propagated by falsehood and deception" and that it "is not, and does not claim to be, a religion".[9] Anderson acknowledged the emotional tone of his report, justifying it as follows:

If there should be detected in this Report a note of unrelieved denunciation of scientology, it is because the evidence has shown its theories to be fantastic and impossible, its principles perverted and ill-founded, and its techniques debased and harmful. [...] While making an appeal to the public as a worthy system whereby ability, intelligence and personality may be improved, it employs techniques which further its real purpose of securing domination over and mental enslavement of its adherents. It involves the administration by persons without any training in medicine or psychology of quasi-psychological treatment, which is harmful medically, morally and socially.[10]....."

If Michael wasn't at the raid yesterday, perhaps they have shipped him out too in order to prevent such from happening.

The NSW police at Rose Hill station were asking pointed questions of Michael after all.:wink2:

Maybe he was the "escort" for Carol Miles and young Mr Fay when they were trafficked out of the country?

In which case, Michael could well face extradition if/when this case makes it to the Courts.

He was here for the New Year Eve event, so he couldn't have been their escort, but there is a good possibility that he followed them, particularly after his NYE performance. If that is the case, then we have another one to rescue, this time in PAC.

So true Mrs P...

Phil Barton, who is originally from Melbourne, is still in contact with Peter Broadbent, declared SP by the Church, because Phil is in disagreement with Peter's standing. Funny though Phil's wife Renate is currently on OTVII so not too sure how that's working.

There is an old boys club of disaffected people connected through business down in Melbourne and at times they do go back on lines but if the org doesn't treat them with the respect and status they think they deserve .... well they lose them again.... maybe they should join the SO and they'll get all the status and respect they can handle ... pmsl

Ha so true,

nearly every 6 month check on OTVII I would have to admit that I was in very rare contact with an friend of mine that I thought could be still in contact with the infamous Peter Broadbent. The handling would be for me to call this friend from Flag and ask if they were in contact. So I would ask and my friend would deny it - so end of handling - even though I felt my friend was not telling the truth I just acknowledged and reported to the EO - handling complete !

.... When I got out of the cult I saw my friend and asked if they really had been in contact with Broadbent - my friend laughed and said all the time and he was actually in their wedding party !!! I asked why they had not told me the truth and they replied. ... Shit it sounded like you were already in a heap of trouble I didn't want to get you into any more shit or cost you any more on auditing ! - see that's the Melbourne style - very slick.

IDEAL ORG INSTRUCTIONS.

what LRH says,

“When buildings get important to us, for God’s sake, some of you born revolutionists, will you please blow up central headquarters.”

What is important is how much service you can give the world and how much you can get done and how much better you can make things.
These are important things. These are all that are important. A bank account never measured the worth of a man. His ability to help measured his worth and that is all. A bank account can assist one to help but where it ceases to do that it becomes useless.L Ron Hubbard

(from Anatomy of the Human Mind Congress tape lecture #2 “The Genus of Scientology”, given on 31 Dec 60)

Well there you have it Orders Of the Day for every scientologist.

It's ok BIA, I have no doubt that your advice will not be heard or heeded.
Most orgs are in this situation and have been for a very long time. :)

The fact that Melbourne still survives is a testament, in a way, to the true grit Aussies are capable of. It's continued existance rests on the shoulders of a few, who in fact do their own thing despite INT orders, as you posted.

This is interesting...

Gossip from some UK Orgs suggests that Saint Hill is doing very much the same thing in terms of quietly ignoring the diktats from INT (which explains why, despite massive downstat, the UK's not collapsing quite as fast as the USA).

If anyone here knows anyone from Saint Hill who's recently-out/nearly-out/gone IndieZone and would like to share some intel with a Religious Bigot Cyber-Terrorist Psych-Funded Marcabian Hacker-On-Steroids, please do let me know...

Peter Broadbent was one of the top "movers and shakers" in the Melbourne field. He was an FSM for the AO and a natural born bully.

He was also the go-to guy and standover man for the Meadmore family of the "Pancakes" fame.

Peter was on OTVII and got himself declared an SP while being off the level and unrecoverable. He split with his wife and ended up with a married woman. When her husband who was a Scientologist in good standing objected Peter gave him a "tune up".

Many of the Melbourne field loved him and came to his aid, eventually they got the declare over turned on the basis that it was full of false reports.

A little while later some eager beaver at CLO started reviewing the review comm-ev and called Broadbent in. He told them to talk to his lawyer, thus sealing his fate.

Cop ya later!

Out-2D mostly. He and his wife Lindy were still around the org when I got to Melbourne. At a non-Scio social event one time I got talking to an ex-employee of his from the Pancake Parlour, who surprisingly informed me that she left the company because he kept "coming on to her."

I found him fairly uptone, if incautious. It was a state I've seen in several others who got lots of processing without handling their ethics at the same time. What was acceptable in the 60s became unacceptable later.

Actually the only private Melbourne Scn social event I ever attended was more like the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. No coffee at all.

"Oh! Tea!"

LOL - Mad Hatter's Tea Party goes with Pancake Parlour's branding and commerialisation ... 'Alice in Wonderland' so I'm not surprised. :)

Melbourne field are a law unto themselves. :coolwink:

Would that be Mafia Law... and the biggest cluster of OT's and I think OTVIII's come from Melbourne region.

The Church turns a blind eye to any unethical behaviour if its benefitting financially until it blows up and then the 'golden rods' get issued to clean it up. Shameful and typical SO management.

IDEAL ORGS increased annual costs

The org is barely surviving and what's more on the strength of the efforts of a few people who despise the upper management. It's totally unsustainable, especially when said people get smashed for some minor glitch that occurred under the usual impossible working conditions provided by church "management".

Now they are heading to an "Ideal Org" where their costs are increased and they have to pay the INT Landlord more rent, if this goes the way of previous ideal org cycles their will be a crash and a mystified upper exec strata will erroneously blame the people who hold it together despite the CofDM top heavy management style.

They couldn't possibly find that the ideal org pgm. or any other DM pet project was the why, could they?
Cop ya later!

ON higher ongoing costs. HOW MUCH HIGHER?

How much will the cost of auditing and "services" be raised or will a new policy of 20%
of public contribution from their wages to subsidise the rent and higher taxes?
Below is an example of the costs involved.

from Luis Garcia

4. “All Orgs must go Ideal” even violates the most basic and common sense principles of business.

Many of the Orgs are not viable, have not enough staff, nor students or PCs,
and are, quite obviously, floundering and empty of public.

Yet, they are being ordered to expand into quarters much larger and much more
expensive to maintain, before they have the natural need to expand into larger quarters.

Case in point, my own Org, Orange County, has paid $2,500 in property taxes annually.

Since the new “Ideal Org” building was purchased in 2006,
they have been paying over $65,000 in property taxes annually. .
And the building is still empty, as “more funds are needed to renovate it.”

When the projected $7.5 million is spent on the renovations,
the property taxes will go up to about $140,000 property taxes annually..

This is a 5,600% increase of just this one expense ., but in addition they will have much higher utilities and maintenance bills.

REAL SANE Management!
