OMG! That is so sad.

So she drowned her daughter and herself?

While I want to rail against the ridiculous claims that scientology makes and people believing them, I know there are plenty of groups that feel the same way about vaccines.

Namely Generation Rescue which Leah Remini supports on her official website. At the same time it is typical that a scientologist supports that sort of issue, I find it weird that the main part of the issue is autism and she would actually link to it.

I really feel for the father. :touched:

I looked closely, but I did not see Mark Jones on this thread.

Mark was beloved by many. Alan and I once had a discussion about states of case of folks we knew, and Mark was the one person we could agree merited recognition as as An Ascended Being.

Those who knew him, know what colossal integrity he had. What colossal commitment to truth he exhibited, and what colossal love for his fellows he had.

He, perhaps more than any other held the field together in the dark days after 1982 when the church began demonstrating just how mad it had become. It was Mark with the Free Spirit Magazine he created that kept the tech alive for many, and helped hold folks true to their belief they could optimize their condition and recover their true, full spirituality and innate powers.

I met Mark in London, in 1966, where he recruited me for staff with him and Ellen. He subsequently held high posts at GOWW, etc. Though most Americans will know him because of his work with Narconon.

Mark suffered from Alsheimers for many years, and during his final years had very poor memory.

He died about 18 months ago.

I don't know how old he was when he died, but he was well on in years.

He is a man worthy of much honor and to be listed on this Board.

Roger

Mark Jones may be the best man I have ever met.

And why do I get hundreds of bulk mail items, but NO DATA? Real newsletters have real news. I have to come to ESMB to get my news.

Megalomaniac-Paul was also our supe for many years, died from heart problems.
Judy-injured her leg, went untreated by proper medical, result was a blood clot or perhaps a stroke, either way, the result was from lack of proper care, I believe SNR C/S was comm ev'd over this.
Mark-yes he devoted all his life to the COS. Had a medical issue which resulted in amputation of his legs, returned to staff in a wheelchair but was offloaded, wheelchaired staff was considered out PR.
Some of these details were given to me by someone else. If anyone knows different details, please let me know.
And yes I was speaking of Lisa McPherson, I knew her many years ago. Such a bubbly, friendly, energetic, happy girl. I sometimes look at her before and after pictures to remind me and keep it fresh in my memeory how insidious this cult is. I personally believe all of these deaths could have been prevented with proper medical care.
Again, please correct me on the above info if anyone knows differently.

Yes, I remember the day Fred died. I remember Paul dying too, I believe it was a heart attack. Paul was always at the org, ate horrible food from the vending machine and smoked too much. I was sad to hear about his passing. I recently heard about Judy and Mark. Mark Chambers dying makes my heart heavy. I loved that guy, he was very sweet. Was on staff since the 70's. Gave his life for a sick cult that ends up throwing him out because of bad PR. Scientology is one sick F****** cult.

As a former Stevens Creek Mission staff member, I am saddened to hear
this. These were all friends of mine at one time. After I quit, they were no
longer allowed to talk to me.

Rest in peace.

Susan Solaman passed away a few weeks ago.

She was an auditor at AOLA for years.

May she, and all above (and any we don't know of) R.I.P.

and

My love to her husband, Russell, and their lovely daughter.

I'm not sure what she died of, but the person who called to tell me and ask
me to pass it on said "She died alone". Although that sounds sad, I don't believe people die alone----it is my belief that many angels helped her quietly pass on to a new, hopefully higher and better adventure.

Best,

Tory/Magoo
