Patty Pieniadz just emailed me a big list of Scn publications for your viewing pleasure.

If you want these I suggest you get them fast as the links might not be up for long. OSA gets a bit upset by this :)

Impacts edited

I checked my issue of Impact, #3, where my pic used to be. It's gone. In it was my ex-partner Gloria Newmeyer, also declared SP. They did leave our names on the list of Patrons. We were among the original 10 IAS Patrons.

OHTEEATE,

So, at least one (or more?) of these issues have been edited since their original publication?

I'd say at least this one. The photoshopping or cutting out of SPs pictures is fairly common to Scn documents. They have even substituted LRH for others where it suited them!
Gloria was in comm with CAN before the CofS took them over, calling them from the FH! Their security obviously detected the "enemy " call and they came up, got her and her bags, and dumped her on the sidewalk! I hope she reads this site. Hi Gloria! They cut our Patron picture out of Impact. Ha Ha! It's their loss.

I don't get something here. I understand the idea of changing a website, or something which is issued periodically. But surely Impact #3 is a magazine that was printed and mailed out ONCE. How can they "go back and change it"?

2000 IAS Event

Does anyone have the Impact issue corresponding to the 2000 IAS event? This is where David Miscavige spends 10 or 20 minutes bragging about the dropping of a case against the church. It's supposed to be some great legal victory. In fact, it's the Lisa McPherson case, and what we were all cheering for is the fact that the Church got away with manslaughter. DM jokes about the coroner messing up the evidence -- somehow at the time that just flew right past me -- the reason there was a coroner at all is because someone DIED. A Scientologist, one of us, died. :bigcry: But that wasn't directly mentioned.

I think I have this issue, but it's not handy. Seeing this event on youtube and putting 2+2 together was one of the last straws for me.

Very strange indeed! - Unless this batch of old magazine scans has been made by the cult.. AS a web re-issue...(maybe for inclusion on their website) In that case they'd be 'correcting' all sorts of stuff...

And OSA will be aware that scans of old magazines are used for documentation by critics.

Coroner Joan Wood.. It wasn't the evidence she messed up.. Rather her 'conclusion'.. She said that Lisa Died from severe dehydration... OSA then had her 'handled' to admit that Lisa died from a blood clot.

Well.. Bloodclot is what you get when your'e severely dehydrated... But 'bloodclot' doesn't sound like it's anybodys fault. 'bloodclot' doesn't incriminate anyone.

So 'bloodclot' is technically correct... But 'died of thirst' is what actually happened.

If you trace DM's handing of this one Lisa McPherson incident alone, it is very revealing.

He displayed absolutely no human compassion or understanding at all throughout the years this thing dragged on. Just a robotic, borg-like onslaught against anyone with a question.

When asked by the press about her, he says. "She died. People die."

He also said that her family was a bunch of greedy SPs.

If there is one thing that shows that Scientology does not work, this is it. The Lisa McPherson incident proves that Scientology does not, and will never, produce a more civilized world.

Finding out the facts of this case is what woke me up enough, too, to start questioning things, and began me on my road to becoming an Ex.

I urge all lurkers to look more into the Lisa McPherson case and find out the facts for themselves.

I stand corrected. I think you're right -- she changed the conclusion and waffled a few times before she settled on it.

Yeah, looking at the autopsy photos, and the fact that she was taken to a hospital 45 minutes away instead of the one 5 minutes away, I can't fail to reach the conclusion that she was not cared for properly. Maybe the evidence doesn't prove criminal liability, but it certainly indicates the Church is largely responsible for her death. And besides the liability issue, yes, this was dealt with in such a cold-hearted manner.

I get the feeling that people are sick of hearing about Lisa McPherson. But, hey, justice has still not been done. And it's kind of on me now, because I supported the Church all through those times, blind to the facts.

Oh, and I think I had the date of the "IAS Event" wrong. It was the IAS day of the Maiden Voyage Anniversary series of events. I'm wondering if this story is in the corresponding Impact magazine and if anyone has it.

<snip> she changed the conclusion and waffled a few times before she settled on it. <snip>
'Waffled'.. Well, yeah.. Joan Wood was intirely right with the first conclusion. Cause of death was severe dehydration... The 'corrected' conclusion was an OSA product. Achieved with a careful blend of harrasment, intimidation and most likely a handsome payoff.

Now, because of the coroners altered statement, the case was dropped!

Think about that..

Usually the court would just handle the mess with two statements from one coroner. The cult lawyers would mauntain that the new one was correct, while the opposition would claim it to be a fraud and that the first one was correct.

But this 'courtcase' apparently rested solely on Joan Woods original statement!?

Who is in a position to decide that a courtcase is crap and abort it? - That's who OSA would need to buy!
