more Narconon news: McAlester, Oklahoma

Narconon's flagship facility, called Narconon Arrowhead, is located in the town of Canadian, Oklahoma. They are planning to open a second facility nearby, in McAlester. Things are currently held up because they can't get any hospital to agree to sponsor the medical detox portion of the Narconon treatment regimen. (This is a period of "cold turkey" upon initial admission, done under medical supervision, that usually lasts a few days.)
Meanwhile, they are busy remodeling the old hotel that will become the home for the new Narconon. There will be a training facility for staff, and they are also going to try and open part of the building to the public. Think "Starbucks" without the franchise name. The intention is to let people in to see what the facility is like; there would be stations in the public area that would have literature and displays concerning Narconon.
Now here's something interesting: there's a casino in McAlester, just a quarter mile down the road from the new Narconon. There is also a truckstop nearby. Imagine the interactions between pissed off addicts "blowing" Narconon and people operating or patronizing these two facilities. We could be in for some high drama in McAlester.
At the Narconon Arrowhead facility, cabin 551 is used for Scientology auditing; they keep an E-meter there. I don't know where the auditing room will be in the McAlester facility. Let's wait for the grand opening to find out!
