Recently I have been researching the Narconon organisation and have visited their website to see if there is any mention of Scientology or L Ron Hubbard. On first arriving at the webpage you are met with many happy pictures of the people who the programme has managed to reform and with small paragraphs on how great the organisation is. This is evidently an advertising technique used by many multi-national corporations so we can't be too hard on them for that, so I had to research more. I clicked on the 'About Narconon' and was directed to a page which told me in great detail about the founder of the Narconon project, William Benitez, and also talked a little about the founder and demi-God of Scientology, L Ron Hubbard. His name was in the form of a hyperlink so I clicked on that and was redirected to a page which gave information on Hubbard and his life. Nowhere on that page was the Church mentioned and it was left to me to do a little research myself. The parent organisation of Narconon is ABLE (Association for Better Living and Education) which was created by The Church of Scientology in 1988 and were known to be involved in the negotiations with the IRS back in the 90's. It's also well known that the teachings and doctrines of the Church are firmly in place in Narconon centres around the world therefore Scientology is a key part of their treatment. I want to learn more about the Narconon organisation, so could any of you tell me more about it? Thanks in advance!
