William Scott vs Narconon Arrowhead

The following 5 people re individually suing the following entities:
Narconon of Oklahoma (NO), d/b/a Narconon Arrowhead, an Oklahoma corporation; Narconon International (NI), a foreign corporation based in California; Association for Better Living and Education International (ABLE), a foreign corporation based in California

Quoting Tony Ortega:

1)– Mary Cantu is suing for fraud after paying $13,000 to Narconon for her son to attend in July 2011, but then he left in a panic just two weeks later after feeling his safety was endangered.
http://www.scribd.com/doc/131661637/Mary-Cantu-vs-Narcono

2)– Lisa Gray is suing after putting her son in the facility in May 2011 and then removing him in July. Like Cantu, she says Narconon is a fraudulent program that doesn’t deliver what it promises.
http://www.scribd.com/doc/131662626/Lisa-Gray-vs-Narconon

3)– Gina Nelsen is suing after paying $25,000 for her son’s treatment in October 2012. When she raised questions about the untruths she’d been told about the program, she alleges that her son was kicked out of the facility, “Thereafter, the Defendants transported Plaintiff’s son to the Salvation Army in Tulsa, Oklahoma, more than a hundred miles away, with only the clothes on his back, where he stayed until he was able to take a bus and secure some clothing, that was donated by local churches and friends.”
http://www.scribd.com/doc/131663394/Gina-Nelsen-vs-Narconon

4)– Sue Ann Newman and Dena Shobe are suing after Sue Ann was admitted as a patient at Narconon in May 2012 on false promises that she and her sister, Dena Shobe, could get a special low price through a work program. Instead, “Defendants fraudulently, and without Plaintiffs’ knowledge or
permission, applied for a Discovery Card and a Visa Card, in the name of Plaintiff, SHOBE. Thereafter, Defendants fraudulently billed to Plaintiff’s Discovery credit car $7,000 and billed $7,500 to Plaintiff’s
Visa credit card, again, all without the knowledge and/or permission of the Plaintiffs.”
http://www.scribd.com/doc/131664506/Sue-Ann-Newman-vs-Narconon

5)– Vicki White is suing because she says fraudulent means were used to enroll her son in Narconon and keep him there, despite her attempts to get him out because of concerns that his medical needs weren’t being addressed. Like the others, she is alleging that Narconon’s business
practices are simply a form of fraud.

Suppose they all settle out of court for $50,000 each. Disappointing? But 20 times $50,000 is a million bucks.

Suppose that every other person who has ever passed through the Narconon swindle claims similar damages...

How many?

Say 2000 (I have no idea) times $50,000 takes it up to ($100,000,000. When it begins to cost more than it pays they will stop doing it.

There is really no end to this.

There is also the Larry Wollersheim prededent. If it's true for him it's true for everyone else who has ever been conned by Scientology, which is to say, everyone who ever paid for a course or had their bank account looted.

The lawyers have only just started milking this cow. How truly are the tables turned.

Each day that brings additional news about the abuses perpetrated by/committed on behalf of Co$ helps to educate a potential juror, judge, politician, voter, governmental agency, etc. as regards Narconon.

While I do get a bit frustrated at the mainstream media outlets that focus only on the celebrities associated with Co$, it does appear the underlying message, "scientology = kooks" attaches to most of the gossip stories/tidbits now about those same celebrities.

(Had a good chuckle reading a recent blurb that commented about Tom Cruise wearing a grey turtleneck @ a premiere for his latest film -- the scribe wrote that the grey turtleneck was unflattering and reminded people of his 'other, black turtleneck'. :coolwink: :anon::guyfawkes: )

More work remains to be done by the media to research and report the truth about Co$'s undeniable connection to Narconon, of course, but when that message does reach the majority audience, Co$/Narconon will face educated jurors/judges for, perhaps, the first time in history.

Wondering if there are updates about the many cases above?

Also, in the Evans v Narconon case, a hearing had been scheduled for December 20, 2013 to update the judge as to mediation efforts between the parties. Can anyone confirm the hearing took place and, if so, what happens next?

Thanks,
JB

Went to the Santa Cruz online court docket to check-up on the results from the April 11, 2014 Case Mgmt Conference and noticed a few new entries.

This docket entry, "REQ FOR DISMISSAL RECEIVED FROM DAVID G URE" dated April 9, 2014, explained all of the other ones,
so I think it's safe to say this case settled prior to trial.

Have any of the other cases provided updates?

What might be done to get the word out to former Narconon victims? Scientology is cash - rich: we know this, and has very few parishioners left... so now's the time to claim, before it all folds and the management do a disappearing act.

I'm tempted to say "class action lawsuit" but the 'death by a thousand cuts' scenario actually seems to be more effective (less likely to be Moxon'ed to death)

Megan Shields is named in one of the No Cal suits.
It's way past time that this quack is sued.
Megan handles the Introspection R/D cases in Cal. She handled Roxann Richards ( a helpless invalid after her Isolation ).

A problem with the Class Action suit is that e4ach member of the Class must have the same complaint. Difficult when it comes to the myriad of offenses committed by COS.

Roxanne Richards? I remember that situation. I always wondered what happened to her.

Re: Dr. Shields

She was named as a defendant in the Gallion v Narconon case.
Here's the last info I had on this case from the ESMB 2014 calendar:

March 7 -- California - Final Hearing - Settlement @ 8:30 AM -- 3 cases: Anise Evans v Narconon Northern California, Harris Evans v Narconon Northern California, and Nico Gallion v Narconon Northern California. See: http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthrea...l=1#post892279

I don't know if the Final Hearing took place or, if it did, what happened to each of the 3 cases as a result.

Hi phenomenon, I agree she should be sued for validating the purif, but does that make her a quack? She is a true believer and was on OT5 or 7 but in my opinion her professional ethics were in the toilet when she put her name on it
