New CCHR Propaganda

Parents want a magic bullet, and that is a pill, not an 'alternative treatment'. What bothers me most about CCHR, and they have done some good work, but they also do some 'alarmism' promo for donos work. Parents take the kids to the doctor to get a solution, parents get a prescription, parents go to the pharmacy, parents have to get the pill down the kids throat every day, the parents have to pay for the doctor's appt., the parents have to pay for the pills, the parents have to do all this. I'm sick of hearing its others in the society that are to blame. Why doesn't CCHR go after the doctors, thats where the prescriptions originate from in the first place. The AMA is too powerful and would squash CCHR, its easier to go after other targets.

I agree that they use fear - and also utilize any bad experiences people have had. Human error is guaranteed. I have been talking to several friends about their mental health issues, which are all severe. All unique as the people, as unique as everything else. The work is to find the perfect match for your mental heath needs. There is no One Size Fits All solution. People really, really need to spill their guts if they have any dissatisfaction with their medication. Further, people find that their mental health issues also change as they age, so it is a "living" effort. People would love a silver bullet, but in fact they must be both brave and honest about their mental state, and diligent with their doctors. Not for the lazy! This, to me, is where problems lie.
